I think that panto villain approach is a one-off tbh going back to called off match. Hanks also makes reference to Cipriani being booed in the Telegraph report. I think he was at fault merely for being the biggest star in the side.

For me, banter is fine, great in fact. But booing, jeering and the chants at the end are things I would like removed.

There’s been no gloating, and I’m not surprised by that. The majority of contributors to the Sale Sharks message board are above petty gloating.

I’d say most are pleased with the result, a little relieved as we have been really struggling of late. However above all we feel justice has been done in reflection to the shenanigans your team pulled on us back in November.

Yes there was booing when you kickers kicked but last night such sportsmanship etiquette was justifiably parked to one side on this occasion.

Now the game has passed, its high-time ‘Pizzagate’ was put to bed and we all move on. I don’t see Sale fans having any issue with Wasps now, be it players or supporters.

Hopefully we’ll be playing you next season.

To both RYYorkie and MikeGC (and any other puzzled Sharks), I went back to the match report in today's Times, intending to extract the bit about the remedial work and the green paint. I was a bit surprised to find that the references had vanished - presumably edited out. Someone must have asked the writer to make a correction.
I know I was up a bit early this morning but I didn't dream it. The Times did mention it, hence the line in my earlier post.

When I was in Sale every supporter who spoke to me, or hurled "abuse" at me, was lovely. It was all friendly banter and I enjoyed my time.

Some cyber Sale fans are a pain in the backside, not funny and annoying. Just as a few started to boo and hiss, and the sheep followed, I am sure.

Summarise - much more pleasurable and friendly than my visit to Franklin's Gardens, or Saint's visit to Henley for the A team final a couple of years back.

I love the way the sale fan has a go at the cowards etc and then says that we should put it all to bed....

It would seem that these Sale fans have confirmed my fears about the type of supporters they have oop noorth, rude, rough, and bad mannered. Doesn't sound like an away venue I would wish to attend.

Hmmmm...whereas of one of your own fans posting the following on Sale's board is polite and well-mannered?...

it will give me great pleasure on Friday when the cheating cowards, as you call them, hammer more nails into Sale's coffin. I really do hope that this season will be the last we ever see of Sale Sharks and that demi-paradise, Edgeley Park.

Don't fall into the trap of assuming all fans of any particular club are the same. I don't.

vernon: I thought I was exceptionally well-mannered. You all, apart from one, swallowed my troll hook, line and sinker - as was my intention. At least I didn't threaten any of you with violence.

[quote RossM]Dear wozishark.
As you enjoy selective quoting, how about this, from you, a self-styled 'true rugby supporter':

ROSS YOUR A COWARD JUST LIKE YOUR CLUB MEET ME ON FRIDAY NIGHT AND I WILL NAIL YOU

Sounds like a true soccer supporting thug to me.

ross never been the type of guy to trade cheap insults, so i cut out the small talk . this might surprise you but wasps was once my second club this has changed since pizza gate, but one thing i would never do is boo another rugby team or make any noise when any team was taking a penalty.i would never come onto another supporters board to troll unlike you.last year i remember posting on this board my best wishes when wasps were having a bad spell.(like a true rugby supporter) ROSS if you followed all the thread you trolled on you would of read that i was a little bit embarrassed by my threat to nail you.good luck with the rest of your season . Actually wozi, I did read the thread right through and, as far as I could see, the only remorse suffered by you, a soi-disant true rugby supporter, is a little bit of personal embarrassment. No suggestion of an apology whatsoever. So I must assume that you do not regret threatening me with violence but are only slightly embarrassed. You sound like a real twerp to me.
Good luck with the rest of your season, you're going to need it a lot more than us.

wozi: As I posted in another thread on this board -

Sale beat Wasps.
Gloucester beat Sale.
Wasps beat Gloucester.

Which proves, what? Home field advantage I guess.

So we lost to the team at the BOTTOM of the prem (ok not now but might as well be). Yes we where poor but really i only care what irish do now. They are our main problem. Sale should get over pizzagate and hope to god they stay up.

As for the tools coming on here with football esq abuse... stick to roundball.
