having spent the last few days reading the various topics I would be very interested to see what fellow Waspies would do regarding the team to play against Wuss???
So when you're ready to select please let us all know....Happy New Year!!!
much depends on the fitness of certain players. The key question, where injury is not apparently an issue, is whether to switch the starting FH. The comments on the Gloucester game suggest Nicky Robinson is currently lacking in confidence and/or form.

Quite frankly, I cannot imagine anyone looking even half good behind our pack that day. What may be more to the point, who should be at scrum half? I think Joe is beginning, at times, to resemble a headless chicken! However, any scrummie would also have had problems for the same reasons at CG.
I hope Hugo is fit. We really need his experience and stability at the back.
Can't see much wrong with Floyd's options - only debating point is Simmo or Berry to start. The other is on the bench anyway.
If Shug is damaged, then Haughton will likely be at 15.
I wonder if putting our new back row specialist at 8 is best use of his talents - perhaps have him at 6. He starts anyway, we need to find out what he can do, he needs to gel with the team and at least he is a back row specialist.
"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat."
Over the years we seem to have had many scrum halves go through the meerkat syndrome..not sure if it is loss of confidence, off form, or whatever but Simmo has now got to the point of antagonishing his own players which is never good.
I would drop him and let him know that he needs to get on top of his own game before starting on team mates mid match.
I like a fiery competitive 9 but prefer to see them up setting the opposition players rather than his own...it has happened to other players that have got too big for their boots, I hope this is not the same.
Matt Dawson did the same near the end as did Gomersall but at least they had earned some sort of recognition first! Meerkats and arm flappers are not needed...quick ball or smelling a gap is
Du Plessis to function like Joe W tackling everything that moves. Don't ask anything more from him - no ball carrying etc. Just committed tackling, knocking the man backwards until they don't want it anymore.
i too think o'donaghue has started quite well and you need a bit more muscle in there next to wentzel.
Think Birkett will start at 6 again, du plessis at 7 and then burton and jones to cover 8, everard on the bench.
don't think poff will be ready.
berry or davis to start for me at SH, need some quick ball and we need tries this weekend. Simmo to come onas
super sub to get BP try.
think flutey needs to up his game or dom should come in at 12
keep haughton is too as wouldn't want to knock his confidence and kill him off. might be a few more gaps for him this game
I think we need to get Dom more gametime to get him truly match fit - he doesnt look it yet. I gues sthat means playing him at 12 , putting flutey on bench ( off form or carrying?) and playing Daly as starting kicker , might take a bit of heat off robinson who will hjave a lot of mangement to be doing
I also thought Flutey had a shoulder injury the way he was tackling last week - he went high to wrap them up virtually every time. So may Dom at 12...
On the other hand under no circumstances would I use Daly as the starting kicker. Long range efforts have no pressure, but being given the kicking duties really plays on your mind during the match, and he doesn't need that. Not yet anyway...
Interesting to see the teams selected by Wasps supporters. After so much talk of playing youngsters too much it has not affected the selection process. Not one supporter went for Riki and Dom as centres and yet that's Dai's choice....which I actually agree with.
Robinson must retain kicking duties as W6Wasp pointed out there is no pressure on long range stuff that can be regarded as ''If it goes in all well and good if not well it was a long way out so not really expecting it to go through anyway so no harm done'' The kicks that you are expected to get are the pressure ones and no way should anyone so young be given that responsibilty. I also believe that 10's should be the kicker as their game involves a lot with the boot in open play as well as place kicks.
Interesting that Jack Wallace is not involved again....is he injured does anyone know? However, I do agree with Dai's choice...experience is going to be necessary tomorrow big time.....pack looks good which is very pleasing. Looking forward to the match and being at AP for the opener of the New Year....Happy New Year everyone!!!
