Leeds Carnegie

Have played 2, drawn 1, lost 1 in the championship play offs so far. Lose another game and they could be out of the picture.

Might make things interesting with regards to the relegation issue.

I know there's a weird system about who qualifies, but do they not have a points handicap after finishing top of the regular season to give them a cushion?

Also, how are Bristol getting on?

They are bottom of their pool according to this:

Tables

Bristol top of theirs.

So its Bristol or no relegation.

Yes unless Leeds can claw back the 9 point difference with Bedford.

Six matches and so far they have lost and drawn one. Looks like Leeds in the Championship next season.

My money would be on Bristol getting promoted.

Can Rotherham still win it? They'd be eligible to come up too, wouldn't they?

Leeds drew 24-24 with Bedford at home on the weekend.

Table now looks like:

1. Bedford (14)
2. Cornish Pirates (9)
3. Leeds (5)
4. Rotherham (4)

Do they play each other both home and away?

And then is there a straight final between winners of both leagues?
Or are there semi-finals?

They play each home and away in this mini group and the top two in each group go through to a semi final (looks like London Welsh and Bristol have got that tied up in the other group).

1. Bristol (14)
2. Welsh (13)
3. Nottingham (6)
4. Doncaster (1)

Leeds have Bedford and Rotherham to play away and a home game against the Pirates.

well if Bristol don't go up I'd be happy for Wasps to take Jack Tovey off their hands, classy player and needs to be plying Premiershp rugby asap!

Leeds scraped into the promotion playoffs taking one point with them. Bristol finished top and took three. Big cushion...

Has already re-signed so no poaching on that front. Besides, haven't Wasps had enough of ex-Bristol players over the years? Lewsy, Shaw, DWS, Lemi and Lee Robinson all spring to mind.

Rinkadink - the history of players from Bristol doing well with Wasps seems to work well - why spoil it?(Sm128)

Wasn't Josh part of the junior set up at Wasps before he went to University in Bristol?

It will good to see Bristol back.
