Oh no! I thought he was getting fairer but after his non-effort running the line last weekend this is nothing other than an extra man for Bristol.

I fear we at Bris will need more than one extra man .

Never thought I'd say this but I've been impressed by GG this season. Much greater empathy with the players and his decision-making clear and concise. Whilst his TJ-ing last weekend might have been a bit suspect I'm not too unhappy with this appointment at all.

To be fair to GG, he gave 2 of the maul penalties in the last minute of the match. Don't think Maxwell-Keys was going to give them without his intervention

As I said in a different thread, we don't know if CMK had asked the assistants to only report foul play (i.e. not report off-sides) or if the assistants were simply not reporting other infringements, or if they were not seeing them in the first place, or if they were reporting them and CMK not acting on the assistants reports.

So the poor enforcement of Saints continual off-sides, and forward balls (and they were allowed for both sides) may not have been down to GG (and the other assistant) - I agree that GG does seem to have improved when he has the whistle.

And if flattery will get him on our side, lets all praise him.

Though like anyone, he can have an off day - even refs are human !!

BUT - we need to learn to play the ref, like other teams seem to.

GG was on the other side of the pitch for those - it was the other TJ who gave the last minute maul pens.
