I fear this suggests that Nathan's injury is serious enough to keep him out of contention for next week, which will not come as a surprise to anyone I guess.

Wasps probably won't know how serious for a few days.

BBC says Nathan with Lawes going for scans tomorrow so damage should be known fairly quickly. What to do about it though might take a bit longer.

Can Don play at 8 or is he cover on the bench for the backrow generally. Either way I'm glad he's finally got his chance

Hask did some good carrying when he came on but I watched him off the ball and he still looks like he's running in quicksand but I suspect he'll start at 6.

Finally, have been banging on about DA for months. JH had a much better game than I expected but we need some form players drafted in soon.

Haskell is in purely for the breakdown where he is strong and effective.

Don't be surprised when Itoje starts at 6 and Kruis in at lock. FFS.

Long time reader first time poster. I just came across this article not sure if itís already been circulated?

Interesting to have a view point from a player facing a player not just a selector/coach watching one

Great call up, I wonder if this is a forced selection due to injury or a realisation that the England back row isn't working. I guess we will see if he plays or if a lock gets in the team ahead of Don.

Will be interesting to see what EJ does to turn this slump around. He seems quite determined with much of his squad selection. I think a bit of pace in the back row would go a very long way to helping.

Yup. Guy Thomson would be an excellent replacement for Lawes, shifting Robshaw back to 6. He'd improve the Eng team no end. Sadly it's never gonna happen.

Guy Thompson for England, couldnít agree more. Most likely too late now, injury has not helped his case but on front foot and more importantly back foot he has consistently been outstanding.

Guy is the form No.8 playing in the AP right now. Guarantees he won't ever get picked.

Whilst I agree Guy is outstanding, he is the old guard. If Eddie really had his head screwed on it would be Willis he would be grooming for the 7 role right NOW. I'm not saying start him against Ireland but get him in and around the squad and give him some game time.
