Eastmond in TRP

Reads that he has not had a contract extension agreed. French clubs after him but he is not interested in crossing the channel. Mentions Bath return but signing of Roberts has closed off that avenue.

I would have thought we need Eastmond to sign otherwise the squad is once again starting to look threadbare.

Gops canít go on forever and is going to need to cover 10, sounds like Macken may be off, that leaves us with 3 centres. One of which will be away with England.

There needs to be a wave of signings announced otherwise squad depth will hurt us again next year.

Think I read somewhere Armitage was in talks with Ealing too. Looks likely there will be a fair bit of recruiting in centres- suspect it has been well planned for if decision was made not to offer Eastmond a new contract. Johnny Williams of Irish is one name thatís likely to be available in Summer.

Would like to keep eastmond and macken. But as said above / whatever happens I'm confident we'll be in good shape.

We are no longer a club who have to rootle around or beg signings. I imagine some players choose to leave us who we would rather stay. But I would think more often than not these days if someone goes it's because the club has decided not to offer a contract or not to be involved in a bidding war.

I saw he was linked to them but hadnít realised he had signed. Irish must be incensed losing another to Bath- think theyíre after Joe C too.

Also in the STimes today that WLR and JdeJ could get a call up to the SA squad for the series v Eng. New man at the helm appears to want to rip up the existing protocols.

Saw that as well. Suppose we will know many he will request in the lead up to the summer tour matches.

As we Worcester) have found to our cost, you will lose South Africans for the summer tours, then September/October for the rugby championship and the autumn internationals. Good news is that they are around for the 6nations

Could also be a good lever to get Nemo back.

Canít see Williams going to Bath after they just signed Roberts. Williams would be a great signing at 12!

Williams would be a great young EQP signing for us but think its pretty much a 'done deal' to Bath.

Likely we're losing macken, eastmond and armitage so with gopperth getting older and Daly often away we are very light at centre with academy lads still a long way off premiership level.

Could do with a couple of macken type signings in the backs really.
Been linked with Ryan mills in recent seasons, wonder what his contract status is. Tikoroituma at Irish could do a job too

Even lighter for part if Juan is called by Springboks.

Just because de Jongh may be deemed available under Erasmus it's a huge step between available and called up.

De Allende, kriel and venter all around. Van rensburg and mapoe. Presumably englebrecht and serfontein will be eligible too. Juan hasn't played for the boks in 5 years so it wasn't his move to us that suddenly took him out of the selectors minds. He's played really well but I don't nevcestiky think he'll be front of the queue. Same with ash. Le roux is a bit different.

Eastmond never really became a Wasp and feel he's always looking over the gate at the green grass. Shame as a brilliant player. Feel some issues on the cranium, memo the Bath game he left at half time from the changing room. Shame but rather we have committed guys.
Hask on other hand committed but not wanted!

I donít think thatís fair, a huge amount of his time has been spent injured and so always hard to string enough games in to be seen to be settled.

From what Iíve seen of him he looks committed when playing for us and also slots into our more free-flowing, play at pace style. Iíd be disappointed to see him leave without seeing what he could really do for us at 12.

Cant quite understand why the management are intent on getting rid of our English players - Danny and Haskell and now Eastmond.
Seems like a long time ago now when Lawrence Dallaglio pulled out a St Georges cross flag at Northampton after an epic victory and near on started a riot!!!

Mills would be a great signing, played with Robson and Daly in the U20s and was highly rated. Has the same problem as Eastmond though, can't sty fit.
