I am a bit mystified why it hasn’t been announced yet. Incidentally I understand Brookes is primarily a tight head but can cover duties at loose head as well.

That would be me, he said it at Saints last home game against Worcester. It didn't sound like he was joking, so I have to assume he was telling the truth.
No idea why the hell we haven't announced it yet, especially after yesterday's news about Carr. For whatever reason this is dragging on, at the very least we are short a tighthead.

Saw a picture of him on Instagram earlier with a Wasps fan in Leamington, so maybe he's doing something at the club.
Re fitness he seemed to be playing regularly for Saints in the latter part of the season so can't imagine it's that?

he has already openly told both saints and wasps fans how expensive houses are in Leamington compared to Northants so assume whatever you like from these conversations I suppose.

on the Instagram front he also follows Wasps rugby, yet not Falcons or Tigers (two clubs he's played for).
Anyway hopefully we'll hear something soon one way or the other.

Known locally as the Land Rover or JLR effect (the new factory at Gaydon). It is making house prices rocket up. Nowhere is cheap in South Warwickshire, not even the 'village' I live in (Wellesbourne, which was always cheap), but at least it is still cheaper than Leamington.
What is the maximum distance the club wish the players to live from the Ricoh?
They key is how far from the training ground, as they take a coach up from there. Given that all I hear is that they are likely to move to the Old Leamingtonians for the new base, Leamington is a bit of a win/win.

Haskell's home is in Northants.. he never moved house when Wasps moved.

Those are exactly the same areas I was thinking about.
I suppose it depends on how you look at it.
