Feel sorry for Shields and Robson. Not sure whether it's injury that's kept them out or not. Overall not a bad looking squad but we do look short of options at FB for me. It might be the only RWC squad without a specialist full back in it.

It's definitely injury that's kept Shields out.....for now (doubt this will be the final 'final 31 man squad').

It'd be a risk of course to take a player with so little playing time to RWC, but when has Eddie done what was expected of him?

Robson, a bit like Care, has been unlucky that Eddie rate him. A big shame and loss IMO for the team, as he offers something different to Youngs or Heinz.

England's loss is our gain I suppose, hopefully it means we can start the season on an even stronger footing.

I would have taken Care and Teo over Heinz and Francis, plus Kevsic or Armand over Ludlum but apart from that I am quite happy. Don't think I have ever seen McConnochie play, if I was Woodburn, Roko or Ashton etc I would be a bit miffed. Obviously I would have liked Dan R to go but you can't do anything about injury. Brad not going could be big for us as we would have been missing some serious leadership and hopefully he can get fit in time for the Prem.

Good squad apart from the omission of Cips. That looks like a pretty strong pack and there's serious gas and flair in the backs.

Squad looks OK but with Farell at 10 I worry that we will be too predictable and have no plan b.

Very interesting how as soon as Singleton moves to Sarries he gets his first cap and is in the England squad.

Great squad imho, Iím sure with the selection this far out there will be some injuries either in training or the remaining games so room for someone to still get the call. We can discuss until the cows come home about who should and shouldnít be on the plane but there will always be great talent left behind. As for Cips I can only imagine that EJ or others feel that he wouldnít fit with 30 others who live and breath together for a couple of months or more, however much we think we know about rugby thatís an aspect that none of us see. Some will say he was the players player of the season but thatís as a player not as a squad member for 2 months.

Don't want to rake over old ground but how in the hell did Jones never give Wadey an opportunity? McConnochie yes has done well this season but Wadey was consistently England's best winger over a 5 year period. You only have to see what he did last week to appreciate what a special talent he is. Absolutely criminal he's not still in a Wasps shirt ripping it up for England.

Big risk will be whether he can get through with two TH props.

Big risk will be whether he can get to the end of the warm ups I would think. Who really cares it is just a month until Wasps start playing.

Pretty sure Farrell will start at 12. If he was going to start with Farell+Manu he would presumably have picked Teo as cover for Manu.

Francis looks to be injury cover for Ford/Farrell in order to keep to plan A with Manu as impact sub. As at the weekend Iíd expect Manu to usually come on for Ford with Farrell moving to 10 at around 60mins
