Can anyone remember a worse time for injuries?

It's partly due to the fact that London Irish have gone in about three years from zero to hero and the squad size hasn't really kept pace. A few years ago the internationals weeks had nothing whatsoever to do with us, we never had anyone involved. In fact we looked forward to them; they gave us some sort of an edge against teams such as Leicester who provided just about the bulk of the English team. Now though we're reaping the rather bleak harvest of our own success.
The only real way to minimize this risk in future is to sort out the finances and afford a bigger squad. Neil's got a valid point when he says that these times offer the academy lads a chance to step up to plate, but they are also players who are likely to suffer injury if they are exposed too often or too long.

I thought this year was the year. However with all these academy players 'blooded' and the likes of Adam, Declan and Corbs back we can really challenge...

Here's hoping.
