Promotion from the Championship?

Anyone know what clubs out of the 8 in the play-offs can be promoted from the championship?

Obviously Bristol and Leeds, but which of the others have the grounds that meet the Premiership criteria?

I've heard something about the Cornish Pirates potentially having a stadium lined up if they make it.

I don't think Cornish Pirates will have their new stadium for another year.

Nottingham use Notts County football ground, so they should meet the criteria.

Stadium for Cornwall delayed by a year. They can win but can't come up this time.

Presume Rotherham as they were allowed up a few years ago.

Capacity at Rotherham is 2,500. They wouldn't be let up with that.

Olospo, I've been to Rotherham a couple of times that they've had a big game and they bring in what seem to me to be some kind of temporary stands.

Nottingham failed the audit last year due to the ratio of basins to toilets falling below the minimum requirement. Seriously. When Rotherham were refused promotion in 2002 it was allegedly due to a shortfall in the toilets per player ratio in the changing rooms, and one of the criteria which was strictly measured at Exeter two years ago was the minimum 80cm spacing of the urinals.

Rotherham have been in negotiations to move into the now unoccupied football ground, which is where they played when they were last in the Premiership in 2003-04, but as I understand they've been unable to agree terms. I believe they are also looking at Don Valley stadium in Sheffield, but have a feeling that this could be where the football club is currently based.

Pirates had agreed a short-term deal with Plymouth Argyle to play at Home Park while the Stadium for Cornwall was being completed in the event of winning promotion this season, but as building work for the S4C has been delayed by twelve months they've accepted that they cannot come up this year. The Plymouth deal was only ever going to be a temporary arrangement, partly because of the potential impact on Plymouth Albion.

Slightly off topic but I noticed that our new signing, Halani Aulika, scored a try for Leeds against Welsh.

London Welsh have looked at a ground share with Brentford FC. The London Welsh Board of Directors has recently had some additions,

Difficult to judge team strength on Saturday as both Welsh and Leeds had played a midweek game.

So it was more about the squad strengths than the best starting line ups.

Leeds were impressive.
