Carlo, this happened to me a month or two back. I had to uninstall Firefox and re-load it and I also had to re-load Quicktime. I'm still not sure how long this'll last as a fix.
One problem I had was that when I re-installed Firefox (version eight or ten or God knows what) and I tried to get into my NatWest bank site (before all this trouble I might add) a notice came up that said " Your version of Firefox is insecure. Please install Firefox THREE or later"!!! What d'you make of that, eh?
This site's a right swine though in my opinion. Those video adverts that used to run in the background were simply a virus in all but name in my view.
There, see. I've just pressed PREVIEW and everything's gone and a notice came up, "Whoops, this is embarrassing". Hopeless
Very unlikely - I wouldn't. You could probably export them to a file and then delete them but I doubt it'd make a difference
Sorry, I'm not a Firefox user. I've got it on my work PC (as someone complained about it a while back) but I can visit YouTube and play videos quite happily. It seems to display the circle while it's buffering data so it could be something blocking video traffic (but if IE works then that's unlikely). Have you tried updating your plugins, you might have a duff version of Shockwave Flash - mine's using 11.3.300.262 if that helps.
I moved off Firefox to Chrome because a lot of stuff, in particular videos, were really slow.
One cause could be your cache, where your browser saves data for video streams etc to make them faster to load - however if this starts getting to big it can slow things down... But if you've un- and re-installed Firefox I imagine it would have cleared the cache at the same time. You can manually clear it in the 'settings' or 'options' section...
