My Season Ticket renewal for next season (and I quite sure many others) depends on tonights result. Regrettably, I believe that after 21 years and an hours journey each way to watch
London Irish that this could well be the end of the road for me and 'er indoors.
I also fear that it could be the end of the road for London Irish as I do not see them bouncing back a second time. I can see us slip away quietly into the lower leagues.
I very much hope I am wrong.
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year to you all.

Yes it quite litrally is d day .I live in deal kent I'm not a season ticket holder and I don't go to every game .I make about 6 games a season 3 or 4 home and a couple of away tonights match included.I have been doing this since 2007 2008 season good days indeed.now I realise I don't hold a season ticket as it is not viable for travel and expense reasons but I would like to think I am a true supporter and spend quite a bit of money per season .normally go with the Mrs or my son.it's about 2 to 3 hour journey each way depending on traffic.lot of the games I book a hotel for enjoyment benefit.I absolutely love it and truly enjoy all the trips .but the thought of another season in the championship fills me with dread and horror.didn't really enjoy it last time round other than the jersey game away.it was a hard slog and a different and tight kind of a game compared to the aviva. I think if we go down think the future will be bleak and uncertain .the owners may think twice about bankrolling the team in the championship again and funding a major rebuilding of the club.come on you irish .it has to happen tonight
X green allways

My season ticket renewal depends on when the club move to Brentford. I won't be renewing when we do.

Should we be relegated I will renew my season ticket if the club are still playing in Reading.

I used to agree that relagation was a good thing but when you see the stark difference between facilities and if say a championship club have a star player, they are quickly snaffled up by the premiership teams, making it almost impossible to get a competitive team even if you are promoted, if we are relegated we will probably be promoted again and will replace a team that will be probably better than us. This is not how competition works in my mind anyhow.

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

Hopefully NK is giving simple instructions for tonight's game like:

Start the game like we did against Quins
Reduce number of aimless kicks back to the opposition
Flat passes on to moving forward players especially from our numbers 9 and 10
Look before passing
Take the 3 points where offered
Don't give away stupid penalties in front of the posts
Win our line out ball
Pass the ball to the running backs
Score 7 more points than Worcheser
Get 4 tries
Stop the opposition getting 4 tries
Don't play well for 60 minutes but instead do it for 80 minutes

That should work (fingers crossed)

Come on you Irish

Paul

A more apt Military Engagement for today would be Carry on Up The Khyber...

We never ever looked like or had the fight in us to win that game.
All doom and gloom and downhill from here I am afraid.
