Re-useable Beer Pots

With all the media noise about single use plastic, I thought I would ask what fans have done with the re-useable pots they have collected from our tours in Europe and visits to Twickenham etc.
I think I collected my first ones from Bordeaux and Paris. In the last few weeks I have noticed their popular use at Worcester and Gloucester.
1.Has anyone tried to get one filled at the Madstad?
2.Should we all present ones at the bars on Saturday. It is a European game and the crowd will not be large.
3. Should we try a 'photocall' at a later game with as large a selection as possible.
4. Should we try to get the caters and club to introduce them. They have many advantages:
Profit centre for the club.
Less cleaning for the stadium.
Helps the stadium get 'green awards' and status(Sm128)

We talked about these after the Stade away game

An excellent suggestion. Those throw away plastic cups are a disgrace, so much unnecessary waste.

This would get my support. It makes sense for so many reasons.

Add the incentive of a small discount off of the beverage price and it's a winner

Fantastic idea!

However, the only negative is that pouring individual pints of AG in the stadium bars will take a lot longer than having a row of 2/4 filled pints already there. The (already long) queues would be HUGE.

It could work in the hotel bars, when they move from glass to plastic before KO...?

I presume the ones from European games abroad are in 0.5l/0.25l measures. Obviously mine aren't at work with me!

There could be an issue getting these filled as the legal dispense in the UK is 1/3 & 1/2 pints & multiples thereof. However I think the beer at the MadStad is on measured pumps, so that may not be a problem after all.

I never had any difficulty getting my LISC hard plastic glass filled at the MadStad BTW!

Easily solved by making them returnable, just as they do at Twickenham.
You buy your pint cup with your first pint then when you go up for your next pint(s) you hand in your used one and just pay for the beer. At the end of the day you either hand back your cup for a refund or take it home with you to use next time.

Was that a pig I saw flying! That would eat into the stadium profits, so is highly unlikely.

I've collected such drinking vessels from UK stadia (Twickenham, The Oval), which have pint/half pint measures marked. Thanks for the tip, Foggy-Balla - I'll take a couple to MadStad tomorrow to test your assertion.

COYI - we know you can play well enough to stay up in the Premiership, you have to believe it yourselves and make it so.

Hi,yes, here at Wuss we have the £1 returnable beer pots/pints.
I personally rarely drink but do collect quite a few of said plastic pint pots after each home game and try to retrieve some from away games (also flags!)
Not had to buy any drinking glasses for a while now!
