I think a more pertinent question, and one that may be a contributing factor to our downward slide over the last 3-4 years:

How many LI Academy produced players are at other clubs?

BATH - Garvey, Lahiff, Joseph, Watson, Homer

HARLEQUINS - Yarde

NEWCASTLE - Watson

Any others?

We've had other problems too but I think we are only now, with the emergence of Williams, Brophy-Clews, Smallbone, Cokanasiga etc, starting to recover from losing a talented generation of academy players.

If we are going to survive and do well in the prem we need to retain the best of our academy talent over the next couple of years.

This is the more pertinent question.

In the professional era, most players will turn out for more than one club, so an analysis that covers the whole division (or even the two divisions that are "full time professional" ) would be more to the point.

On the other hand, something that gives people plenty to moan about would be more popular.

It might also be interesting to list the 'single club' players in each club. You would have to have a minimum of (say) 7 years at the club to qualify, and no appearance for other most clubs.
