Bath's talent scout (mole).

He could do that job pretty well.

Will he be bringing anyone with him? Like Freddie Burns?

Probably not, but I've enjoyed going on the Bath board suggesting he will be bringing everyone with him!

Would that be rugbyinsideline? They seem to either jump on things others have already broken or just chuck enough @#$%& out there and hope something may stick.

That said, one of the bath lot did say there were coaching changes ahead and it would seem sensible if a coach were to leave it would be booth. My question though is why we'd want him?

We lost some good players because they fell out with Booth, he didn't lead us to any great success, he took a lot of promising players from our club and he's not exactly achieved a great deal with bath.

But he's an 'old boy' and that seems to be all that matters

Yeah, that guy's terrible for not crediting sources. 'I've been told that..' and 'we're hearing that...' are usually just a rehash of something that has just been published in TRP or another publication. Just this morning it was 'we have been told that Melbourne Rebels scrum half Ben Meehan has signed for London Irish' after the story had been in the Aussie press. Although I've not personally seen the Booth thing anywhere else, other than being discussed hypothetically on another forum a few months ago.

I'd love to see Toby (and Hats) back with us. Toby and Smithy seriously fell out. Anyone else remember him away at Worcs and coming over to us and almost pouring his heart out about it? Great guy who always wore his LI heart on his sleeve.

I really don't rate him, but as part of the coaching team he could be useful, but no more than that.

My brother was coached by him at uni and at Irish. Although my brother couldn't stand him on a personal level, he couldnt deny that he's a brilliant forwards coach. When someone can compliment a person they hate, there must be some truth in it.

I can't believe that anybody would not want Toby booth back as a coach at LI. An excellent and innovative forwards coach who has a track record of success.

He was the brains behind the Kennedy / Casey lineout dominance of the premiership and also introduced "offensive scrummaging" to LI. If this rumour is true, it shows the great respect our current hierarchy have for the bloke who taught them their craft. I for one would welcome him with open arms

I agree. Booth is the best coach we've had in modern times. But a poor DoR which people seem to confuse.

With him as head coach, we were top of the pile at Xmas. It was only when he had to do more DoR stuff in the new year, that things fell apart.

If he did come back, where would he sit? Between Nick at the top and our other coaches as specialists?

Are we using the word "confirmed " in a loose sense?

I think in the Aussie trio sense confirmed means "saw it elsewhere, tweeted it"

The only role I'd want to see him back in would be as 'Digger'
And then only as a replacement(Sm73)

Having met one of our coaches last night who roared laughing when I mentioned this to him I got the impression there wasn't anything in it. Apparently he has moved his family down to Bath and bought a house etc so no chance of coming back. Bear in mind he was also the one who lost us Kendo and Dodge!

Can people not move more than once. Most Football managers do it once a season....

I think I would prefer if T.B. stayed at Bath, let us stick with our new regime and give them all a proper chance next season when hopefully we will be at the top table.
