There's a very interesting video on YouTube. I do find that the earlier scrums (ie pre 2000) had a nice simple structure to them, and had none of the choreography and constant resets of late.

it used to be even easier with

Frtont rows in
Secind rows in
Back rows in
No pushing before the ball was put in
Ball in
Hookers hooked
and hey presto ball out

Ah, the good old days when I used to love being a Prop as I could lean against things & have a breather, having worked out where the next breakdown would be and ambled slowly over to the spot and waited for it (Sm14)
