The draw for the RWC 2019 has just been done (only just in time as we're down to the last 865 days!!!!)

Yet again, England get a Group of Death Wales get another chance to get beaten by the Ausies & Ireland get it easy.

Full Draw:

Pool A: Ireland, Scotland, Japan, Europe 1, play-off winner (Europe 2 v Oceania 3)

Pool B: New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Africa 1, repechage winner

Pool C: England, France, Argentina, Americas 1, Oceania 2

Pool D: Australia, Wales, Georgia, Oceania 1, Americas 2

Considering the potential options I don't see that as a group of death at all, I think it's panned out pretty well. I'm guessing USA (possibly Canada) and Samoa (maybe Fiji) are the likely others in that group so it's not perfect but could be a lot worse.


I feel for Irish & Scottish fans... whoever doesn't win that group probably (assuming they follow previous world cup structures) gets New Zealand the next round!

It's a bit confusing to be honest... basically the losers of the playoffs plus one African and one American team.

Samoa and USA pencilled in as likely oppos from what I've seen. Not a bad draw - not as easy as Ireland/Scotland but should qualify
