Gilsenan half time MOTM for me, four good tries, not many missed tackles and a couple of big hits from Filo Pastry. Although they contributed to a couple of tries, including Shane doing what he occasionally did for us a couple of times and gifting us one. Thought we could've made it harder for their try but not going to worry about that at the moment. Big 40 coming up although I'm happy the TBP is in the bag at least. Also this is one hell of a matchday experience - the sooner we get t-shirt cannons and lovely Parisian cheerleaders the better

My 2 cents.

Some names really stepped up

Woolstoncroft should be a starter. He didn't step a foot wrong in my opinion. Very confrontational, cared and gave it all. Solid set piece.

Gils. The definition of hungry. Good defense and good attack. A few errors in jusegment here and there.

Meehan. Better today then steele. Very zippy delivery got us moving.

Ojo. Experience really showed. He cut off stade all night down his wing. We'll taken trys

Cockasigna. Just a very good presence. Big boy who hits hard.

Lovejoy. Rugby can be down to the smallest moments. Well taken try. Backed his strength at a stand still rather than recycling. Showed a bit of arrogance and said F**k it get over the line. Showed good skills to re gather when nearly dropping it... enjoyed that try the most really.
It's that mentality we need for premiership games.

Curtis Harris. Thought he changed they dynamic for the time he was on... good defensive set.

On the other hand.

Lasha. Really got shown up today. I feel he really isn't up to the required level.

TBC. Hard days kicking. Can anyone who was there tell me how the wind was. His clearances and goal kicking were below par. Game control was ok.

Anyone agree with the ramblings of a slightly pished amateur couch coach?!

Broadly agree, however TBC's clearances weren't too bad. With regards to his kicking, we have Bell for that, so he seems like a competent replacement for Marshall when he gets injured, but he does need to put the hours in to improve his kicking.

Agreed re Meehan & Gils but not sure about the rest of your observations.

Teofilo was always in the thick of it and deserves a mention. I also thought Ollie Hoskins put in a good shift tonight. Yes the scrums got got shunted back at times but he more than made up for that around the park.

Congrats to Topsy in reaching his landmark in style. I'm sure he will be having a quiet evening in Paris tonightgrinning smiley

Just stirring in Paris this morning HMRH! What a night.... I can only say that the whole squad were up for last night to a man.wewere like the Quinnís game , up fast, double hitting then up again for the next wave.
Three quick tryís stunned stade and really gave the boys confidence, I would say stade were a huge huge team who came at us all night but we nulled everything they threw at us including a normal hostile French crowd!
If we turn up like this/ Quinnís game then I really believe we are as good as anyone in the bottom half of league and could on our day bloody a nose of the top4/6. Great night full credit to whole squad ... big mention to Topsy

Everyone to a man made their tackles, and we read what they were trying to do quickly as the situation unfolded - so the outside man stepped in to make it a double hit at the right time, for example. Pastry led from the front and made hit after hit all game long

He made try for us. So yes and no. :-)

TBH he wasn't that noticeable, he didn't create that much but Stade seemed to lack any sort of line break or cutting edge anywhere. Big team, but slow.
