Worcester game (Fri 22 Dec 7.45pm):

We have contacted the Worcester ticket office and the away allocation (which doesnt get sent to the club!) should be the front of Block H in East Stand (currently 27) and the back of Block G in the East Stand (currently 36).

This new system of not having tickets sold by LI seems to spread us around but would be good to have a decent block of us together for this one to make some noise and cheer on our boys.

I've had the thumbs up from the kids - will book tickets tomorrow. This is an important game for us, hopefully we can get a lot of supporters there and make enough noise to make a difference

If you want to take advantage of the kids for a quid deal you have to book by phone and not on line.

I wonder if the club will run a coach to this game as this could be crucial.

Hotel booked

Where are people meeting in advance for a few looseners?

What is the best way of getting from the town centre to the ground?
(Make the MadStad seam positively city centre!)

There are matchday specials from the bus station (very central!) before and after.

Have a look on our offie, usually shows timetables.

As Ted says, there are rugby specials from the main bus station to the ground, return fare 4 per adult (ask for a day ticket). The main bus station is in Angel Place, in the centre of the town. Here is a link to the bus timetables, [warriors.co.uk] .

There are 2 good pubs for meeting up at beforehand, which are rugby friendly. The first is the Saracen's Head, at the end of Foregate Street, about 5 minutes walk out of the city centre. The other is the Cricketers' in Angel Street, about 50 yards from the bus station. Both serve decent real ale.

HMRH, if you don't already plan to, you should get off the train at Foregate Street, not Shrub Hill. Turn left out of the station and then right at the second set of traffic lights. The Cricketers' is 50 yards on the right, with the bus station another 50 yards on. If you wanted the Sarries, turn right out of the station and the pub is about 300 yards along on the right hand side. If you just want to go to the ground, but don't fancy the bus, there is a taxi rank at Shrub Hill, which would be the shortest journey to the ground.

If anyone has any questions or wants any advice please post on this thread or start one on the Warriors MB. We're a reasonably friendly bunch and I'm sure someone will be happy to help.

SH, if you or any other LI fans are travelling to Sixways by car from north of Birmingham, and you are not familiar with what's happening on the M5 between J1-2, allow yourself plenty of time to get through the roadworks, or go via the M42, if that's a realistic alternative.

Some details of what will be on offer on the evening, especially if you are bringing children along.

The club normally post up details of the food and drink offering the week of the game, so I'll try to remember to post that next week.
