OK this might be a bit off topic, but we are former Cornish Pirates stewards, and I have written a book, available on Amazon Kindle as an e-book, about our early retirement and move to Spain a few years ago.

It is called 'SUNSETS AND OLIVES-HOW NOT TO RETIRE EARLY IN SOUTHERN SPAIN!' By John Austin Richards (my pen-name.)

The light-hearted story of one British couple's adventures amid the olive trees of Andalucia. From dodgy estate agents to crazy Spanish neighbours, English translators who speak no English, to the local rat population, and house clearances Spanish-style. Learn how to repair an ancient Spanish roof using only wardrobe doors and empty dog-food sacks. Meet Leopard-skin Woman, Pirate Pete, and Ferret Woman. Laugh with us at the cement in Manolo's pants, about the live turkey on the roof, about the matador and the mouse, discover the difference between sangria and blood, and much, much more.

This is not, however simply a book about early-retirement, so if you are seeking guidance on the merits of purchasing an annuity, versus income draw-down, you will be disappointed. Similarly, it is not a Spanish travelogue, so if you need to know the best times to visit the Alhambra Palace, or the best tapas bars in Seville, look elsewhere!
OK, so we did retire early, and we did move to Spain, so these subjects do feature, from time to time.

No, this is a book about people, and customs, in this far-flung corner of Europe. If you love people-watching, join us on the journey. I am sure you will enjoy the ride!

True, but my book is only £2.79, less than the price of a pint!

This is surreal.
