You canít win games when you cough up tries that easily. Kicking penalities can be enough for some teams in a lot of games, but not when the opposition score 7 to our 3. Still in touch but we need the next score. Feed coming through is that weíre just defending constantly. Marshall isnít really a tactical kicker which leaves us without an exit plan when the phases donít bring any reward.

The owners need to take the decision out of Nics hands and sack danaher. To concede so many from first phase and so many with only a minute to go to half time it just appalling. First phase is the easiest time to defend, everyone is in position and youíre not outnumbered anywhere across the field yet weíve conceded over 20 I think. Without that last try there was plenty to play for going into the second half. Now with a yellow card, Newcastle will go for the kill early.

When we were relegated first, I felt we didnít deserve it, just got a bit unlucky. This time around I truelly believe weíre worse than that season and will be down again. Itís not the end of the world but the next move will dictate the future of the club.

Trouble is I really think it is the coaching that is poor. A team has to be coached into playing confidently as a unit no matter how good the players are. Our team seems to have been coached to a standstill.

That was absolutely shocking - enough is enough. Didn't play in the right areas of the field, kicked away precious little possession, knocked it on in the good positions we tirelessly worked to get into.

Let's not fool ourselves - these players are good players who would excel in any other Premiership team. It's the ineptitude of the coaching which causes our insipid, limp, and quite frankly diabolical attack.

Big Joe only got his hands on the ball about twice, the poor sod, then got subbed off for the last 10 mins. Didn't make a difference as his replacement didn't get the ball either.

I gave up hope in the last few minutes. We are absolutely F-ing useless.

Yes, because when a team is misfiring that's what happens. Bad decisions beget bad decisions. No-one is on the same wavelength as anyone else.

BTW I think that the taking out off the ball was the only time I have ever seen it penalised and it happens many times per game in every bloody game.

Marshall is an utter waste of money. Creates absolutely nothing, kicks poorly and flaps around like a girlís blouse in defence.

How can we continually starve our 2nd biggest attacking weapon (Joe) of the ball in each and every game?

The decision to sub him with Tiks with 8 mins left was utterly bizarre. He literally had nothing to do the whole game after his chase down the West Stand touchline...

Iím sorry to say that this LI back line is comfortably the worst I have ever seen in the history of the AP. At least London Welsh gave it a go most games, unlike us.

Here's something to think about:

We've now lost 11 games in a row. As it's a 22 game season, that means we've lost half the season inside 12 games. Shocking.

Also, we haven't scored a try since the 37th minute of the Worcester game. That's 123 minutes of rugby without scoring a try. In our last four Premiership games, we've scored just four tries.

We have a points difference of -160 in the league right now. By the end of last season, we had conceded a total of 290 points. This season we've conceded 364 already...

Basically, we're heading for London Welsh territory. Bye bye, Premiership.

What a load of misspelled straw-man nonsense.

It's only my opinion but I do think the problem is a whole team problem and that is more likely a coaching/strategy problem. In our setup, replace Marshall with Beauden Barrett and he'd probably look like he was @#$%&. The other players need to be on the same wavelength, ours aren't.

"What let us down were crucial errors at crucial times. A missed tackle on Vereniki Goneva, a missed tackle on Sonatane Takulua, a missed tackle on Kyle Cooper and they end up making big line breaks and scoring off them.

"It's still that 80 minutes of concentration and making sure we make all our tackles and not letting soft line breaks come through us.

"We were in the game in the last minutes, but we need to get our detail right and look after the ball.

"Premiership games are very close, but we need to nail out those Championship minutes at the end."'

Quite. Bit of a stuck record but we just don't have a dynamic pack able to carry the ball bar the odd rumble from Hoskins and increasingly rare bust from Trev. It's far harder for a backline to look good when no yards are being made up the middle.

At the end of the day we have the weakest squad of players in the league imo. When combined with an inexperienced coaching team and lack of resources we are likely to struggle as the standard in the league is higher than we seem capable of reaching on a consistent basis at the moment. It's pretty depressing all round, but hard to see a way out at the moment

Back on topic, Mallinder isn't coming here to coach in the Championship (we don't have the boat load of cash that Bristol have to make a step down attractive), so the #prayformallinder stuff is fairly tedious. And Noves? You've seen France play lately with the resources they have available GHA? If we were looking to make a change I'd be looking for someone like Lee Blackett, but even that would be a tough sell.

You donít half talk some Tom Kite ..... Marshall is a different class in that team and as for Your take on big Joe, I would have taken him off earlier. He does not work hard enough, he has huge potential but tackles powderpuff. He does not chase back when required and just touches the opposition gently. Joe must have the worst tackle count in the premiership, his try scoring this year has been non existent. He is a kid learning his trade in a team that can ill afford an apprentice ! Where is your usual love for Fowlie this week? He canít tackle either, You normally slate the management for playing Tiks at any stage so maybe thatís where your going with this.

Mr Crossan must do something about the coaching staff this week. We have 10 games remaining and we need to win at least 3 or 4 to stay up plus get a couple of LBP. This maybe enough to see Saints relegated.

I used to enjoy going to see LI play (STH for 16 to 17 years) & meet up with friends but most of these regulars in my area of Y23 have given up.

I am not sure if Malinder is the right choice but up to recently he was being touted as a potential future England coach. One thing for certain is that Ventner is not the best choice looking at how poorly Italy and South Africa are playing.

Reading the various threads most contributors on this board are looking for change sooner rather than later.

That report doesnít sway me in the least. I understand the sentiment and have always felt nic would come good given time and the correct support system. I do feel however that regardless of what gold feels, to compete, we need a backs coach. Even if was judged purely on our year in the championship, our backs were fairly poor. Other teams like Ealing showed us how to run a backline with supposedly lesser players. I would keep Nic, but he needs some help.

The big cheese at our closest relegation rivals suggests we keep the faith with our current coaching staff? Interesting

I think it is the concept of having 3 inexperienced coaches at one time that is the problem more than just one individual. You need experienced people to learn from and we have little to none of that, so it's beginners working/learning with beginners.
