I have the answer!!

OK, this was a discussion over a pint or two this evening...I've already got the coat, hat and air raid shelter ready...

1) Presumably we'll be relegated.
2) RFU's consulting project will back up the existing Buddy proposal so,
3) Irish become Quinn's official Buddy/feeder club in 2018/19 ..and...
4) We groundshare (again) at The Stoop with some sort of commercial deal which helps reduce Quinn's losses by allowing them to co-share the world-class Hazelwood facilities AND generates a revenue stream for Irish AS WELL as....
5) Allowing Mick and The Board to proactively market LI to the massive Irish diaspora in West/North London with a long term plan to shift this new market to...
6) Brentford in 2020
7) Meanwhile, the really strong LI amateur and kids squads become feeders to both Quins and LI (in that order)..

So......

London Irish-Jokers anyone ?????????
:-)

If that's the answer I dread to think what the question might have been.

I strongly recommend you get back on the drink and forget this ever happened.

Sadly Waltham you were correct - you anticipated correctly the childish vitriol from a keyboard warrior.

"That's a disgusting suggestion, those drinks have malwired your moral compass. An under class for Quins. That bunch of smug got it alls. I never tire of watching them lose"

What an ignorant mentality. Living in Twickenham, I have many Quins mates who are decent lovely people. None of them are pleased at our plight and for many we are their second favourite team. None of them take joy at LI losing they are too busy supporting their own team and getting on with their own life to get emotional about other rugby clubs.

And yes Quins do have their own ground and have agreed in principle for a ground re-build to 25,000 with various other facilities to bring an income steam. I have yet to meet a Quins fan who feels smug as you put it about that, it is just where they are. If anything they feel fortunate rather than anything else.

Whilst I have been an LI ST holder from many years I cannot help but think that the long term future looks brighter for them and every other Premiership club than us, including Exeter who have come from nothing to win the League and own their own ground.

The Premiership has moved on in the last 10 years as is demonstrated by Exeter, Sarries who know own their own ground, Sale who are trying to buy the ground from Salford Reds, Wasps who now own their own ground...... and I could go on,and we simply cannot compete. Something needs to be done so unless you know of someone who wants to invest into a club that has a tiny support base and does not own a ground something has to be done or we will just wither and die as a club. I dread to think of what the size of the crowds at home will be next season. A new coaching set-up does not change the financial reality that we cannot compete in the Premiership.

Do try to remember it is just a game, it is meant to be enjoyed rather than to be a source of negative feelings.

In any aspect of life when you feel bile and anger and bitterness about other people it is you who it affects, the people to whom your dislike is aimed at could not care less they are just getting on with life.

I was brought up in the cultuire of rugby to enjoy the game and have a beer and a chat with the opposition after.

Maybe you should support Chelsea, I do not think you get the bon-hommie of rugby. Your attitude would be normal in the round ball game.

Of course, Chelsea also own their own ground so you will not feel jealous of those other clubs who do as well and you will not have to be so bitter and infantile.

...btw...in jest I chatted to a good friend tonight (Quins debenture holder)....Rather worryingly, he thought there could be some commercial sense in this for both clubs - pointing out that most of the players know each other very well and regularly socialise anyway and that there are joint training precedents....Oh dear!... I thought it was a bit of fun....So, lets add further conjecture and maybe Connor returns as CEO!!!....Steel helmet still in place :-)
