Marshall off to Japan and Super Rugby

'Iím excited to announce that I have officially joined the Coca-Cola Red Sparks for the next 2 seasons in the Japan Top league, with a return to Super Rugby in between.'

We knew that he was off already, but its interesting that no SR side signed him up full time. Then again TL clubs can pay an absolute fortune to players.

Pleased for the guy. Good move at this point in his career and probably goes a long way to securing his future without closing the door on a SR slot at some point.

Lovely little dancer and good kicker on his day, but his defence was all about nickin the wallet rather than putting the attacker on the ground. Not very British, what.

Ultimately has to be judged as something of a disappointment.

Showed occasional glimpses of what he could do but was never really a significant presence either at 10 or 15.

He was outstanding in the Championship, but even then I think there were question marks whether his style of play would lend itself to the Prem.

Doesn't the original post ( and his twitter ) say that he is also playing Super Rugby as well as Japan Top League. Somehow he is fitting it in between, I have no idea how the seasons work.
