Everyone else in the premiership league will have extra cash to spend so we are in a similar situation as before, marquee players don't always equate to successful teams, this is the final punt I would say to whether we end up a Sarries or a London Welsh.

The deal seems much better in that we can generate revenue and also interesting to note LI still want to build their own stadium

Salary spend certainly doesn't always equal success, but we'll at least be able to spend to the same sort of level as the other clubs.Theoretically clubs already spending to the cap won't be able to spend any more, other than larger salaries for marquee players.

Both times we've been relegated we've had the smallest (or close to) playing budget in the league, so this should level the playing field in the short term and give us a fighting chance of at least being competitive. Ultimately the money won't last forever though and we'd need either new independent investment or ringfencing.

I don't know whether it is me but I seem to be noticing that the teams like Worcester and Newcastle are resigning their young talent so the poacher clubs stay away, hopefully the depth of talent in Ireland at the moment will lead to some slipping through the net to us.

I would rather keep the talent that we have over a marquee signing. Good to see that the club is putting the emphasis on that, if we have the cash to spend on marquee players then some new money must be available, or else Powerday have had a very good year !

The new money would be the money from the CVC deal

Not sure that's anyone's business who supports the Hairy Queens.
