Yorkshire Carnegie's Woes

Club Statement

Looks bad, although as a supporter I applaud the openness. I hope they can find the cash to continue. It would be a big loss to lose YC, I had hoped they'd press for a Prem place again.

It all points to RFU/PRL needing to push some funding to the second tier, the drop is enormous and if they want the game to be sustainable then clubs need to be able to compete and survive below the prem (the fact that the AP clubs aren't sustainable is a different matter).

Good luck Yorkshire!

That would be a great shame if they canít find additional backing

If Yorkshire Carnegie donít complete their season then are all historical results from their championship fixtures this season discounted? This is significant since Ealing won home and away but LI only won one of the two fixtures. Does this mean that LI would be deducted the league points from one win whereas Ealing would be deducted the league points from two wins?

Maybe - I seem to remember that happening when LW folded ...

Would be nice to win the league ourselves outright rather than because of another team's troubles

I think it was as Sore Doc mentioned - all points from the matches involving LW were removed as if the games hadn't happened ...
