I am glad the drone operator managed to avoid those rather tall construction cranes as he filmed this. It looks quite impressive.
What is the railway station called that you can see on on side?

For entirely different reasons I got a train from Reading to Brentford on Tuesday.
Reading to Staines. Change at Staines. Stay on same platform. Board train to Waterloo via Brentford and Kew Bridge. The second train came within about 5 minutes. Accident or programming? I think programming.
In all the journey took less than 1 hour 30 minutes. Obviously longer than the bus to the Madstad but not impossible. Saturday will be better than Sunday.

I might not get a season ticket but I could easily do 6 or 8 or 10 games - depending on how good, how successful, how much buzz etc.

South stand should get the best of the sun I think

Surely not Mat?

With all sides roofed to a greater or lesser extent the afternoon sunshine, coming as it does from the south and south west as the time elapses, will shine into the faces of those in the east stand.

As it does pretty much everywhere in the northern hemisphere.

Methinks MattM doth speaketh in jest. However, he may be right - Brentford is a funny old place!

I was joking, yes. As a current West dweller and probable future south sitter I am accustomed to basking in the warmth of the sun only as reflected off the people sitting in the opposite stand and of course getting the staff to ensure my seat is adequately heated...

The sun is free to warm your seat. Nature never blessed me with staff. Children apart of course.

Just had a chance for an in-depth look at progress, and it looks very good doesn’t it. I’m really looking forward to visiting, assuming we’re still in the same league.

I’m a Wuss season ticket holder of Welsh upbringing, a wife from a Newbridge family, and a son living and coaching minis in Ashbourne Co Meath.

The only thing I’m sure of is I don’t support England, and I don’t like the MadStad.
