Scarlets, Toulon, Us, Bayonne. Pretty rough draw.

I really wanted any of Newport, Calvisano, Cardiff.

Great trips - we werenít going to win it regardless of draw. Italy would have been nice but France x2 and Wales could have been worse

My Social Secretary authorised my trip to games so it will be Bayonne and Toulon. Will have to investigate flights from Malaga. I presume Marseille is closest to Toulon. May be able to get to Bayonne by train if necessary.

Have done Toulon away, would recommend staying out of town

Absolutely cracking draw.

We have zero chance of winning this tournament, so lets enjoy some class away days.

Anyone know when the fixtures are allocated to the weekends?

Isn't it usually sometime late July?

Why would it be better to be out of town? Where would you recommend? As I'm definitely going to this one.

I'm mixed feeling about this,

my very competitive nature Balks at the comments "we're never going to win this" comments

But I think we have better than zero chance.

I think we could have a good crack at both Scarlets and Toulon. toulon have been atrocious... could be more than a couple of upsets... could be...

We have bigger fish to fry next season, tatthecraic2 - we were very unlikely to win it and our main focus should be on the Premiership, so all the better if the group is made up of a couple of good away trips

"France"
"Couple of away trips"
"Bayonne and Toulon"

Obviously the Llanelli Tourist Board has an uphill struggle

It would be great to beat Scarlets (for a change).

I'd disagree with this. We stayed right in the centre which was perfect, easy walk to the Xmas market, waterfront etc

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Toulon town centre and a very cheap 2* old style French hotel, both of which were very good. Nothin wrong with the centre at all, it is not glamorous as it is still a working port

The bars / restaurants on the Rade were very hospitable and the food excellent.

The Christmas Market was great.

The regular market was fun too.

The Toulon supporters were passionate, friendly and slightly mad (bit like us, really!).

Mourad Boudjellal was pleasant (I went to 'rescue' this random French geezer in our hotel bar from my [then] 6-7 y-o Godson, who was practising his French on him!): we got chatting for a few minutes - turned out it was MB...!

What's not to like?

This time (if I go), I want to do the Musee National de la Marine...!

Toulon is quite an industrial port, I drove from quite far away, but lots of nice places surrounding the town
