Alan Jeapes

Due to a stinker of a cold I wasn't at the Stoop on Sunday so I don't know if this has gone around yet, if it has apologies.

Alan Jeapes, stalwart of Quins, passed away a few days ago after battling cancer.

For those who may know him, he was the VERY, very loud supporter who used to sit next to Ralph. In fact if you wanted to know if he was in the ground just wait for his "C'mon Quins" before the start of the game - he could be heard anywhere in the ground!!

Apart from benefitting from confusion in the old Members Bar when he ended up with a half pint of wine (!) my favourite tale is of him somehow ending up in the Shed.

After his customary shout a glaws boy asked: "How did he get in here?"
Somewhere behind Alan came a voice: "I don't care how he got in, it's how he's gonna get out which interests me."

Alan's funeral is today, RIP

As Simon says, Jespsie will be greatly missed by those of us who knew him. He was a true gent and a very fine story teller!
