Have to say that going to Thomond Park is going to be a great semi.

Munster haven't exactly set the place alight in this year's Heineken Cup campaign. A lot of the players who got them through the last decade are either past it (Hayes, Flannery...) or close to it.

Yes, they are formidable, but not unbeatable - not even at Thomond Park, despite what Miles Harrison tells us.

All rather academic at the moment though...

Limerick - yuk! I vowed never to go to that awful city again, especially after the last experience.

Why couldn't it be Montpellier?

Can we just focus on the Wasps game first, by no means a banker! Plus, if we want to win it, we would have to beat Munster somewhere on the way!

I heard someone saying over the weekend that original Amlin teams have home advantage all the way through, so if we beat Wasps and Munster were to beat Brive then the semi would be at the Stoop. However if Brive beat Munster then we would travel to Brive. If both Munster and Wasps were to win then the semi would be at Munster.

Nothing here says that,

I did find some reference to it but it last year. Maybe they changed the rules.

The draw for the semis was done after the Wasps/Toulouse game yesterday. It will be either at Brive/Munster the other semi is at the winner of SF/Montpellier.

If we can beat Northampton away with 13 men on the pitch for 10 minutes then we can beat anyone. Although Munster's "luck" at Thormond Park and their "fantastic fans™" will be difficult.

Not sure it is certain that Munster will beat Brive...

The Munster of old would, but not sure now...

We have never had the prospect of a Euro S/F at Munster, against Munster yes but not at Munster.

I was under the impression that two years ago if we had beaten leinster we would have played munster away.

Yes, but it wouldn't have been at Thomond due to the competition rules (er, I think). He's just being a little pedantic smiling smiley

There's certainly no shortage of negativity on Wasps board - its a lot like ours sometimes but they've always seemed a decent bunch to me.

They just support the wrong team!!! ;o)

I imagine we'd be a very happy bunch if Quins had just beaten Toulouse.
