As many of you are aware, I have a cake and dessert company and this keeps me busy in my ‘spare’ time. I’ve been going for about 2½ years and it looks as if I’ll break even this year (a very good thing!). As you can imagine, running a business can be very expensive and things do add up.
I’ve applied to a fund which is providing assistance to small business owners like me. In order to receive a grant (which I don’t have to pay back, so excellent news there!), I have to have people vote for me and I need as many votes as pounds I request.
I’ve asked for £245 which will cover the costs of my upcoming wedding fayre, so all I need to do is find 245 people to vote for me! This is where you good people come in. If you could please follow the link below, sign-up (it’s an amazing site, which I would recommend to anyone thinking of starting a business) and vote for me, I’d really appreciate it.
If bribery helps, I’m attempting macarons, again, this weekend, so will bring some down to the Stoop tomorrow, so if you see me, come and ask for one.
I know that £245 doesn’t sound like a vast sum of money, but covering the cost of the fair (as well as hopefully going towards a stall at a fair in the summer) will make a massive difference to me.
I went back for a check-up on Friday and it turns out that I managed to fracture my finger in addition to chipping the bone That explains why I'm (still!) in ridiculous amounts of pain and I'm looking at least another 4 weeks for it to heal.
I'm pleading one last time for you good people to vote for me. I still need another 30 votes, so not many and it would be great if I could reach my target and have something to smile about.
Having the support of so many people means a lot to me, especially in the tough times (and right now feels like one of them!). It's easy to keep going when things are going well, but life isn't full of only good days.
