I care - because it was just plain rude, especially to the poor blokes who were dishing out the medals. They were all acting like footballers and I would have been mortified if Quins players behaved like that. I take it all of you commenting haven't actually bothered to have a look at the footage so your opinions are somewhat uninformed.
poor blokes? They managed to get on centre stage and congratulate & commisserate (fears for the arrival of the spelling police)some world class players. They've had the day they'll never forget, free enjoyment of the day.
Poor blokes...dont think so.
We may or may not have seen it, but i just hope you never have to experience the disappointment those guys felt.
Do they have to pretend to be happy about coming second, and then minutes later be reminded about it? second means nothing in this competition, why should they have to pretend that it does?
We are nation known for sporting failure so why should we except not winning?
Give them the medals days after the final, you would find a different response, as you would with the winners, as it would be more subdued.
There is so much emotion and adrenaline pumping through the players at the final whistle, the joy and the disappointment is all part of playing sport and watching it too.
