you're joking, he gave us nothing at the weekend and constantly looks to penalise us. How many times did his arm go up when we were 5 yards out. I'm sure some were penalties but it can't always of been great defence and Quins messing it up.

His perfomance was not challenged on the board due to Quins terrible showing but he didn't help.

Don't suppose it matters who refs us as we are terrible at present and can't imagine we could come away with points from Leicester. Nul points every day of the week

Gave us nothing? He sent off one of their players!

Barnes was fine at the weekend. The number of penalties was due to our own poor discipline.

Honestly that's not right -- his arm went up constantly when we were 5 yards out because we constantly dropped the ball, held on, got turned over.

There was a brief challenge of his performance on the board but so far no one has been able to come up with a specific decision they thought was wrong other than a potential forward pass on their first? try. (I didn't have the stomach to watch the game back to check).

As I frequently do, I thought he was really harsh on us when watching live, gave us nothing otheer than the red, etc. I haven't watched it back but I'd be pretty confident he got most things right. While at the ground I usually think the ref is being very unfair on us when we lose and then surprise surprise, 9 times out of 10 they weren't at all.

The disallowed Visser try was correct. Shame we flashed it up on the big screen, as I think that drew his attention to it rather than the TMO. Shame Visser didn't tell Smith he might have droipped it short and got him to take a drop goal asap.

Think there were calls for him to review one of the Wasps try which he refused to do.

Thought it was forwards at the time and did check when I got home, don't think it was even a marginal decision, forwards all day long for me but as other's have said, drop in the ocean with the respect to the match. Was surprised it was never reviewed, considering some of the things that get looked at though.

There was the one breakaway run that we did in the first half that was we looked fairly certain to score from. There was a good last ditch tackle from one of the Wasps players that prevented the try. All this was good.
However, then the Wasps player laid on top of our player and prevented us from doing anything.
There were howls from the people in the stands round me. The TV screens showed it a few times after the event. IMHO it should have been a YC - but I don't think it was even called a penalty.

Barnes is a good ref who gets it right most of the time .

Prefer him to a less experienced official , especially at grounds like Welford Road where the home crowd can be influential .

No problem with Barnes at all - thought he had a perfectly fine game on Sunday, with the exception of the (definite) forward pass for their first try. More than happy to have him again.

Barnes was fine, as usual. Anyone would think we don’t give away many penalties normally! Our discipline is one of our biggest issues.

This is the main one aside from the forward pass that bothered me in the North Stand. There was clearly no release so should really have been a yellow considering how close to the line. I think we actually got pinged for holding on

A fella near me was also incensed when McIntyre lay on a ruck on the line a bit later, clearly off feet but think we were also infringing just harder to see from the angle... think that was a case of some you get, some you don't.

As has been said though, second half when we really crumbled no issues with Wayne at all and anyone whose biggest worry is him after that match is misguided in my mind

We all see things that the oppo do, but subconsciously aren’t looking for the same offences made by our own players. That’s just human nature.

Things like forward passes etc are slightly different, but they tend to even themselves out.

Our ruck discipline is comical and needs sorting. 14 penalties is too many. Even if you argued 4 or 5 of them, it’s still too many.

Le Roux diving on Lewis to prevent the ball coming out after Smith’s break was the only thing live that I was sure he missed - and perhaps the forward pass for the try. People around me were fairly confident they saw some questionable stuff from our guys in the afters from the red card incident as well though, so I’m not sure the stuff he got wrong was one-sided.

Generally think Barnes is excellent and people just have a bit of a mental block about him.

Well, we can't complain we don't know what he wants or how he referees, having just had him last week.
