I have the date for this game which is going to be announced on Tuesday.

I'm not going to put it in the public domain, but if people want to know it, please PM me. Prices for direct flights with Alitalia out of Heathrow currently 135!!

Now have all of the England games. Let's just say it's going to be a big St Paddy's Day again!

First time I went to Rome to watch, I booked late and I flew to Milano and booked first class return on train - it worked out a third of the cost (as flying into Rome). With so many airports and still very cheap trains, the rush for Rome tickets can be offset, especially if you have a bit more time.

After being confirmed, then unconfirmed and subject to change, it has now been 100% reconfirmed as the same date! 6N organisers have been having a 'mare!

Please message me if you'd like it and I haven't replied to your earlier PM.

All dates will be released tomorrow.

Obviously I was confident, but it was still a small relief as around 10 people asked for it and 30 of us are going!

anyone know how far in advance of the fixture these tickets normally go on sale, and how easy are they to come by?

If you are thinking of home games, your safest bet is to join one of the smaller rugby clubs which are based locally to where you live. Cultivate the person - normally the secretary - who has the job of organising the tickets.

Visit the club on a regular basis, drink at the bar, support their functions. You might find that you enjoy it!

For away games, you may find that a similar system operates. Otherwise find a friend who lives in the 'away' country, get him/her to join a small local rugby club, etc, etc.

I did it for years at Thamesians, your local club in Twickenham! What QQ says is spot on. Our membership is 48 a year and you would be likely to get tickets for all home games, with the possible exception of Ireland, which is always the toughest.

We've always got what we need for all away games, again with Ireland being the exception. We've had crowds of 30+ going to France and Italy, 15 to Wales and Scotland. Most we've got for Ireland is 2.

Thamesians' clubhouse is the cricket pavilion on Twickenham Green - they share it with Twickenham Cricket Club and take residence between Sep and Apr. Always a great pre and post International venue with a 106" HD screen which I got installed :-)

Happy to help for Italy as I'm going myself. We won't need to put those applications in until Oct/Nov(ish).
