It'll be the 27th.

They just use it as a place holder.

The 27th isn't a bank holiday though?

I'd imagine that given the way Christmas falls this year we could see fixtures on the weekend of 23rd/24th and BG as part of the next group on the 30th.

27th isn't a public holiday and there will be no trains on the 26th so it will either be Sat 23rd or 30th.

It's been on 27th Dec for the last 3 years.

Yes it has and the 27th is clearly the popular choice. But it has always been moved to a different date when the 27th is a working day...
27th Dec 2016 (Tuesday, Public Holiday)
27th Dec 2015 (Sunday)
27th Dec 2014 (Saturday)
28th Dec 2013 (Saturday)
29th Dec 2012 (Saturday)
27th Dec 2011 (Tuesday, Public Holiday)
27th Dec 2010 (Monday, Public Holiday)
27th Dec 2009 (Sunday)
27th Dec 2008 (Saturday)

I would be amazed if it was on the 27th this year, considering it's a wednesday and not a public holiday.

Fair enough, hadn't thought of that rather obvious point or remembered that people work between Xmas and New Year (I work for myself).

Wonder if New Year's Eve being the next day will have much of an impact on the non-rugby fan "Xmas event" part of the crowd since it's a long way after Xmas? Maybe for the younger more single people...

I would imagine it may - this is the latest it's ever been or it may attract some people who want a weekend long party! I think a fair bit will depend on the opposition. Hopefully now Glaws again. Nothing against them but 3 years on the bounce would be a bit dull!

But it is my birthday and the game is invariably set to celebrate that event.

Hopefully we'll have decent opposition. So far we've had Tigers, Wasps, L-Irish (twice), Sarries, Chiefs, Saints, and Gloucs (twice). I can't see Sale, Worcester, or Newcastle being big enough draws, to be honest. Bath are one of the more obvious teams we haven't faced at BG yet, but they may not want to have a second game at TW if they're going to do their "Stinger".

Beers on BB then!

It'll never be the 23rd, so 30th looks likely. I'll plan my Xmas around that, as well as the Sound of Music.
