Good people of CAW

Does anyone know whether Marler and Sinckler will be available for the start of the prem season or will they have some kind of enforced rest due to the Lions tour finish time??

They have 5 weeks leave and then start pre-season I think. The Quins players did not have a very heavy end of season, in the past we have sometimes given players extra times, but we have not had any Lions since Will and Jason. Eddie was talking about not playing Lions in the Autumn for England, but presume he will for Oz.

I did wonder if Jones may give a few lions some time off during the AIs and continue with some of the Argentina tour squad. Argentina, Aus and Samoa is not our toughest Autumn (No disrespect)

I'm sure that'll surprise Ugo!

What has the world come to, that we can seriously contemplate resting our Lions players against Australia and not be that worried about it?

That said, given the Australian scrum, there's a reasonable case that Collier could be the best man for the job under any circumstances...

Thought Jones said he'd rest 5 of them. Guess those, especially forwards, involved in play offs might be the most likely

I think with the relatively weak AI internationals where we are not playing SA or NZ, He will rest all of the sarries in the lions team as they have all had a very long season, Itoje would have played 38 games if he plays all three tests,so i don't think it makes sense to play him in the AI's. I don't think any of them will play before october for sarries either, although jamie might play in the AI's depending on how eddie sees the other options at hooker. I think lawes will also be rested as he has played a lot this season, cole also as he has also played a lot of games.

Ha Honky, tbh that will be the best time to play us, i just hope we don't have more than on big away game in September, although we never seem to have much luck these days playing at the stoop irrespective of the time we play you guys.

Minutes played so far:-

Marler - 210
Haskell - 204
Cole - 181
Itoje - 179
Lawes - 176
George - 160
Mako - 157
Kruis - 151
Sinks - 139

Thought Sinks had had more game time than that, just shows what he's done sticks in the mind.

I'm sure Eddie will see it as the perfect opportunity to "rest" Cole...

204 for Hask! I've barely noticed him.
