Independent committee decides All Blacks warm up game against some no hopers is meaningful enough to count towards his ban. Is there no-one in world rugby with the guts to treat him and them the same as everyone else?

World rugby, as such, are surprised at the decision. However, it was an independent committee made the decision, so they have to grin and bear it. For now. [www.punditarena.com]

As are others of "deliberate", "shoulder", "charge", "tackle", "Spear", "Fair", "Safe" etc...

Absolutely ridiculous.

All Blacks getting it all their own way yet again.

It's a game of three 'halves' for christ sake, how can they say it's a proper game?!

It's a curious situation but surely not that big a deal is it?

Actually, it's the end of the game as we know it. Which in the case of most posters including me is not very much

Well, looks like they wrong footed World Rugby. But I guess in the future bans could be until a certain date - "player X is banned until after 5 September" seems pretty water tight unless new Zealand start using a pre-Gregorian calendar or some such!
