Not great timings for these games.

So, Cookie, you are claiming to have inside knowledge that has not been made apparent to anyone on any other board with regards to the fixtures. Forgive me, but I'm going to remain skeptical until the fixtures are released in 92 minutes time.

When exactly was I wrong before? I gave Italy v England in Rome next year to those who asked. Be my guest and wait, but don't make false claims.

If these are correct a Friday night at Ravenhill (well Kingspan these days) is always good fun.

Driving to La Rochelle and probably take a ferry for the Ulster game.

I wasn`t alluding to fixtures but to certain things supposedly happening at Quins.

Good grief. Just trying to help. Why do I bother? Shame you two can differentiate between opinions and statements of fact. I booked for Ulster as I (and plenty of others) did for Rome. Perhaps next time you could just ignore my posts rather than suggesting I'm making things up. I'm just trying to help fellow fans.

Although I'm interested to know what other lies I'm meant to have told.

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures

Thanks for the heads up Cookie , Im not sure why people are quite so suspicious about it , the fixtures were released to the Clubs last week so if anyone has a contact that's willing to spill the beans it can be found out .

I pressed a few staff at the members day on Saturday with absolutely no success !

Not sure why you got jumped on there, cookie. Plenty of people, including me, put up speculative stuff that may or may not prove true. Still, I suspect you'll recover (esp as you were right) smiling smiley

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures
Camquin 22 August, 2017 17:01
The 10:30 Liverpool Ferry gets in at 18:30 - which might be tight for a bus but should be OK for a taxi to Kingspan. Which means getting to Liverpool in the morning, which will depend on where you start.

Alternatively get to Cairnyan for 15:00.

Thanks, DOK. You're right, especially after another Aperol Spritz overlooking the Grand Canal in Venice!

Been all over doing another AS/wine/ciccheti tour. Favourite place was the one overlooking the gondola workshop. Back streets around Rialto Brisge are great fun.

Semantics. I've given out fixtures twice and both times they've been correct. When flight/hotel bookings depends on it, I wouldn't speculate.

Haven't you also given a fair amount of information regarding transfer rumours or am I confusing you with someone else?

Shame, I was hoping for la Rochelle away in December or October. Not going to be so nice in January :-( Don't think we'll get to any of the away games this year.

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures
COYQ_2017 23 August, 2017 09:22
Ryan Air flights from Stansted. - La Rochelle on Friday 19th Jan at 6.35am returning on Sunday 21st Jan at 10.35am currently selling for £30 (return).

Not ideal but these flights will get you there and back for the game - whether it's the Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

In short, it looks like the only option (if you want to fly from London - La Rochelle) so no need to wait until the fixtures are confirmed.

I think we are going to make an extended long weekend of it and head into Bordeaux - Easyjet via Gatwick - train to La Rochelle etc

Love to know why the dig at Cookie, all looks correct
Booked Belfast and booked La Rochelle
La Rochelle not easy to get to but flying into Nantes and car hire seemed best option

I hadn't thought about heading in via Nantes - do you know if this is closer than Bordeaux via car/train?

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures
SiBolton 23 August, 2017 17:45
Don't think there's a lot in it TBH
But used to fly into Nantes fairly regular and know the road down to La Rochelle as far as Las Sables and is a decent road

So, the first home game charity collection will be to try and cover the costs of those Aperols! I am gut wrenchingly jealous though.

Ulster tickets went on sale today on Ticketmaster Ireland. I got mine. Don't make many games these days but have a couple of pals in Belfast who are big Ulster fans so didn't want to miss out. We'll be on the West Terrace.

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures
mighty_quin 29 August, 2017 22:10
Can anyone from Quinssa give a yes/no whether they will be arranging tickets for the Ulster game please?

I can go via TM Ireland if needed, but would prefer to be sat amongst everyone else.

Link here - adult tickets range from £20-45

GrubbyQuin 29 August, 2017 22:50
Presumably the club will get an allocation. We've got flights and hotel booked - just wait for the club to let us know when tickets are available.

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures
Cookie 30 August, 2017 09:29
Thanks for the heads up big_al. I always like to mix it up and sit with the home fans (e.g. had great fun in The Shed last season), so I'll be seeing you in the West Terrace. Also want to make sure we have a good spot, which is rarely the case with the allocations the club are given.

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures
mighty_quin 30 August, 2017 10:35
Changed my mind. Booked West Terrace rather than wait.

I've just spoken to Ulster RFC and Quins

The club (Quins) rather than Quinssa will be selling our allocation of tickets. They will be put on sale in due course. However, Ulster RFC have confirmed that the away allocation will be as follows:

Grandstand

- Block 1 (Rows H, I, J, K, L and M) - This is the largest "away" allocation
- Block 9 (Rows P and Q)

We may also get some seats in Block 2 of the Grandstand

Family Stand
- Block 1 (Rows B, E and F)

East Terrace

Hope this helps...

I was getting anxious that I missed the opportunity to buy tickets for the game and rang the club. I was told (last week) by the ticketing office that they can't offer the tickets up for sale until EPCR give the go ahead. The lady did not know when that would be and could only advise watching the ticketing site for when they appeared.

B*stards. Sorry to hear that Clock1989 though I can't understand why people put themselves through flying with them. I never have and won't be doing so anytime soon!
