... Marler retained.

That's one way to stop them squirting water at each other in the hotel.

Really chuffed for Marland Yarde.

Sinckler omitted is a bit of a shock though...

Bit of Lions rest management on Sinckler I feel.

kyle hasn't been the rampaging baby elephant that he was last season. His scrum work is good, but apart from that fancy offload, where's the running at speed at defences? Past defences? We all know EJ sets targets for you to hit if you want a white shirt, I'm guessing Kyle unfortunately, didn't make his (or someone else made theirs better).

One thing seems pretty clear with EJ, he'll tell Kyle why he didn't make it and what he needs to do to get back!

Also I get the impression this first meet is a bit of a "look at who is on the fringes" get together. EJ knows what Kyle brings to the party, he may yet include him when they drop off some of the more fringe players

Yarde is always in at this stage, can't see him in a 23 man squad

Looks like Yarde needs to go the extra Mile.

It's a squad where a lot of players are being rested exactly as Eddie warned would happen. He specifically states that those coming back from injury wouldn't benefit from being with England, hence Haskell's omission.

I don't think anyone left out at this stage should worry more than usual!

So that he can Inch his way back into the team for the final Furlong? Can't Fathom the reasoning. More likely to act as ball and Chain if you ask me.

:-)

Have you been together furlong? I don't mean to hectare you... don't want to be a head acre.
