Genuine question, is this based upon your generally consistent criticism of the Quins set up or what you have seen in the first four games of the season compared to other teams?

A lot will depend on injuries I think. Our squad depth is okay but as we saw yesterday without a couple of key players it can all fall apart very quickly and I think that’s because we’re not a team with a particular game plan that everyone is aware of.

I suspect we’ll be somewhere between 6th and 8th.

Mostly the latter, and how rubbish Glos, Sale, Worcester & Irish are!

I think we'll finish 6th, and finish second (possibly third) in our European pool, but with not enough points to go through.

Newcastle, Worcester & Irish will finish below us......Am hoping Sale's resurgence is not as good as ours!!!

Looks like I may have been over-optimistic!

With six nations call ups the post Christmas / new year period could and probably will be difficult unless we can rediscover the defence that we had under Deano.

No other DOR has been able to get a Quins squad to defend the way he did. Mark Evans & JK no chance, COS & JK let it deteriorate, JK & Minty destroyed it.

Under Deano the boys trusted each other and we as supporters had the confidence that we could hold out and dull the majority of attacks in the 22.

We have gone back to the bad old days under ME & JK conceding early tries.

The boys trained last season with the changed system again during pre season and over the past 2-3 months. If they dont understand it by now they never will. The aggressive defences of the best teams are drilled into the squad till they are on automatic pilot. Why are are boys so ineffective and disconnected?

6th in the Premiership (obviously, I wish we could make it to the top 4 but I honestly don't believe we can do it), 3rd in our European pool and... let's try to win the AW Cup, shall we? We desperately need to win some silverware to boost our morale.

All too predictable this season, As it turns out only Worcester & Irish (and possibly Saints) look like being worse than us!.....and as for Europe this season....just an embarrassment!!!

Absolutely!

We seem to look at matches we should of won like the Falcons game and go, oh well look the champions Exeter couldn't beat them as if it's some sort of justification to go "there there guys it's ok we lost that one". Fine margins determine games as the Sale result shows. We just haven't got the game management/leadership/coaching to ensure we are on the right side of the margin.

I thought from before the start of the season we would be out of the European Cup in the group stage and between 10-8 in the league
The squad is just not good enough

I thought 4 years ago that we'd struggle this season but like you I forgot to mention it on here.

Always hard to predict too far in advance, particularly with the injury situation for us and our opposition, but I think due to our dreadful away form we're going to need to win all of our next three home games in the league if we're to finish in the top 6.

Can we do that against Wasps, Newcastle and Bath? All three are better teams than us (or at least have played better this season) so we just have to hope that we can raise our game at the Stoop.

Personally I can't see us winning all three.

I dont pretend to be some kind of Nostradomus.......but I started this thread after we had only played a handful of games and it was so obvious to me THEN how poorly we would do this season!! Looks like after tonights game (and presuming Leicester pick up 5 points against our zip tomorrow) we will be cast adrift in 9th.....SORRY JK/NE/MM/NE/GR....JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
