Adam Jones on the bench. I bet he is hoping he doesn't get an early call to go on.

We are basically fulfilling a fixture and we can only do the best that we can with who we've got left.

This is similar to the case where Bath postponed the game. Has this game been postponed once already?

Some of the first team boys are here. James Horwill has his right foot in a boot and Joe Gray's arm is in a sling.

Standing next to Nick Easter and he has the spent most of the first half complaining about our defence.

James Lang is having a good game at 12. He must be knocking on the door for a spot on the first team bench soon.

Horwill can have a nice couple of weeks rest. Easter complaining about defence!!!!

Here's hoping the two weeks of A/W games allows Kev to recover. We need him in the engine-house and as Cap'n. I'd like to see us use the A/W as trials for players to step up into Premiership spots, even if that means us losing games in the A/W.

Our first priority should be the AP and making sure to finish in the top 5/6. With Champions Cup qualification, we can draw more interested players for next season. We're not going to win the Champions Cup, and no-one here could realistically believe otherwise. However, actually *offering* the chance for players to play in the Champions Cup is no small thing.

The Sarries fh today (mallins) said in interview that the team they play in the a league will be roughly their aw cup team. I think that is how it should be tbh

Ibitoye is supposedly close to returning so will hopefully be given a chance in A/W. And, who knows, he may be getting more first team action at 14 then we would have expected this season.

Interesting as I spoke to Minty at half time and he seemed delighted with the commitment from the lads and their spirit?

Noticed the first team lads there. Wallace looked to be moving well.

Lang and Swiel I thought combined well and the boys played some good stuff Ball in hand and looked dangerous

Saw him after the game at the Stoop last night, he jumped over the pitch side hoardings better than I could (Sm128)

Before the game I feared the worst. I think in light of the selections, the team did an incredible job.

Sounds like Swiel had an impressive game.

Based on the result, maybe we should be trying to implement this level of chaos in our first team games.

Time to start Collier at outside centre methinks.

Dunno about Ross on the wing as I think he ended up playing FB, but Calum Waters on the wing was electric ! Very elusive.

Cracking result by the whole team including guest's. Like most I feared the worst looking at both side's selection and when we went 2 scores down early doors it looked like my fears were going to be well founded. But, the lads dug in and once they got the measure of the Sarries big ball carries (8 & 6) just played an expansive game. I hope to see the outrageous back door offload by lang in the highlights again.

How did Head go at Hooker, Ibuanopke at Lock and Piper in the back row??

Piper was taking lineouts despite starting at 7.

FWIW, as I can't seeing any of them playing too much rugby in those positions, they all went well.

Don't think we were under too much pressure come scrum time for Head to be in too much trouble, also showed no hesitation and a nice turn of pace when the try line opened up for him.
Big Josh is big and cumbersome however definitely more mobile than when I saw him in a 'A' game down at Bath at the end of last season, and offered himself up plenty of times for carrying duties, did well to be up with play for one of his tries.
Charlie Piper, whilst not looking the most athletic of people, put himself about and with ball in hand would'nt have looked out of place in the centres. Lineout might have been a bit off but with only two jumpers and a makeshift pack of lifters pretty understandable
