Team for Anglo-welsh

Interested to see our approach for these games. Part of me wants us to completely ignore the competition and rest anyone who will play in the two Prem games in this international period. But then any momentum is always great and a win at Sarries is always sweet. Alsoits been a while since we won a trophy. Are we able to draft in players for these games like the A league

I expect a team like:

Boyce / Holenstein
Elia
Swainston / Mcnulty
Merrick
Okafor
Glynn
White
J Chisholm

Lewis
Swiel
Alofa Alofa
Lang (apparently he's been great in the A league.. could be an interesting option to try out with a "2nd playmaker")
Sloan (maybe Saili if fit, just to get some gametime)
Which ever academy winger is fit (I hope Ibitoye)
R Chisholm

We simply can't afford any more injuries to first team players so we have to keep them out of this competition.

It should operate as a good opportunity for some of the A team to play in a slightly more competitive environment and try and use that chance to impress JK.

Is Lamb injured? If not, I'd replace Glynn with him.

I think the problem at the moment is we do not have many "A League" players fit to step up (Hence the fact we had six guests on Sunday).

I would go

Boyce
Elia
Swainston
Glynn
Okafor (if fit, if not Matthews)
Lamb
White
Chisholm jr (not played for a while, game time will do him good)
Lewis
Swiel
Waters
Lang
Sloan
Alofa
Chisholm

Holenstein
Piper
Mcnulty
??
??
Mulchrone
Stanley (if fit)
Walker

The following week I would look to swap things around so that Matthews does not play (aybe give Merrick a run out).

It is possible that by the time the next Prem game comes around we have Ward, Buchanan, Gray, Marler, Clifford, Bothma all back. as for the next two games if South, Ibitoye, Cheeseman, Coyle, Murley and Hennessy are fit I would bring them in over players like Walker/Alofa etc

Whichever team, whether AP, ECR, AW or the "A" team, needs to be picked to win whilst allowing for rotation/rest, but with the objective to win - winning mentality building throughout club's teams should be the overriding priority.

We were at our best when the "A" team and AW side were also at their best.

The team that just beat the Storm should probably form the core of the team for next week - repeat performance would be great!

Agreed. Also Mathews has not played that much so could probably do with a run out. (As long as he keeps his trap shut!)
