Great move then finish by alofa. Sarries should have a yellow after killing next attack

Re: Team's Up.
raedarius 05 November, 2017 16:14
Ben Glynn in "does good thing" moment. Needs to be acknowledged.

Re: Team's Up.
WellingQuin 05 November, 2017 16:15
Really hope we start Elia more, seems some much livelier than our usual hookers.

Re: Team's Up.
talkshowhost86 05 November, 2017 16:33
Great tackle but Visser should finish that.

Re: Team's Up.
Stooperman 05 November, 2017 16:15
Is it Lang for Swiel or Lewis for Muclchrone - or the replacement front row? This is a different and much better team in the last 10 minutes!

Re: Team's Up.
HonkyTonk 05 November, 2017 16:16
I think the Sarries subs have helped us

Re: Team's Up.
raedarius 05 November, 2017 16:20
Sarries starting to look a little rattled. Ben Earl is now celebrating a foot in touch like it's a try.

Re: Team's Up.
Bucksquin 05 November, 2017 16:20
If that performance doesn't get Elia a starting slot compared to the dross that's been played at 2 so far this season then something's wrong ...

Re: Team's Up.
talkshowhost86 05 November, 2017 16:39
Good kick from Lang.

And we ruin it straight away.

Re: Team's Up.
Stooperman 05 November, 2017 16:22
^^

ELia looks our best 2 at the moment by far.

Same failings as the first team though, get ourselves back in the game and give away 3 points immediately!

Re: Team's Up.
T-Bone 05 November, 2017 16:42
Frustrating. Real mixed bag

Re: Team's Up.
HonkyTonk 05 November, 2017 16:24
Why not go for the corner??? Lewis seems a bit slow to me, takes too long

Re: Team's Up.
HonkyTonk 05 November, 2017 16:28
Why I earth are we kicking the ball away, run it surely

Re: Team's Up.
raedarius 05 November, 2017 16:28
Anyone going to justify Lewis box kicking in the last two minutes?

Or Ibitoye's kick for that matter?

Re: Team's Up.
raedarius 05 November, 2017 16:31
Sarries' rip attempts in most tackles are pretty impressive.

Re: Team's Up.
HonkyTonk 05 November, 2017 16:33
We win then. No reason not to award it

Re: Team's Up.
Camquin 05 November, 2017 16:33
Still need the kick

Re: Team's Up.
HonkyTonk 05 November, 2017 16:34
Surely cant miss........

Re: Team's Up.
Stooperman 05 November, 2017 16:34
Woohoooo yes! We're going to bloomin win it!

Cmon you Quins!

Lang

Holy Hell!!!!!

Absolutely brilliant.

Well done Quins.

Wow, what a magnificent win! I was so depressed at half time but jeez they came back so well. Well done all.

Re: Team's Up.
Hellequin 05 November, 2017 16:36
How the hell did that happen? Bonus Point win after being 20 points down. Great result.

I think this is unfair. He may not be a flashy player but I frequently find myself being pleased with some of his donkey work.

Re: Team's Up.
Fearless Fred 05 November, 2017 16:37
cool smiley So, it *is* possible to make Charlie Matthews look small: Stick him next to Martin Bayfield!

Re: Team's Up.
raedarius 05 November, 2017 16:37
Matthews MotM. Nice.

Re: Team's Up.
talkshowhost86 05 November, 2017 16:56
Great heart from the team.

And some great performances as well. Matthews and Elia were fantastic and I thought Luamanu made a big difference.

Lang did the business and Sloan was good despite a missed tackle or two.

We’re still a disorganised rabble. But after a win like that who cares?

Re: Team's Up.
WellingQuin 05 November, 2017 16:38
So much improvement in the second half. Over the moon for the players.
Really want to see Elia start even when Buchanan and Gray are fit.

Did anyone elses sound go off while watching BT Sport? Mine went off when they were checking on the last try.

Great win by Quins.

Well done quins a really brilliant fight back that fully deserved your last gasp win at allianz park. Sarries must be devastated when their nemisis graham hughes awarded your last try. Exactly the same as he did for us to win the premiership!

Re: Team's Up.
QuinAlan 05 November, 2017 16:46
Totally astonished. Never saw that coming. We had zero ball in the 1st half & hardly any in the 40-60 min period, but when we made changes to th front row & added Luamanu, suddenly we had parity & more. Where has Ibanuopke been? thought he changed the game. Held the scrum solid & showed amazing spirit in the loose which encouraged everyone else. Whow what a result..!! What spirit & believe. Brought a tear to the eye.

Great tackle but Visser should finish that.

How, exactly? Should he have especially sticky fingers so the ball can't be knocked out of them? It was a great tackle and Visser couldn't really have done much about it. It's very hard to hang onto the ball if the tackler manages to get a hand on it at that speed.

Overall, though, a much better result and performance than I expected, especially given the late withdrawals and disparity in experience.

I thought Elia, Ibanuopke, Matthews, Lang and Visser went very well, and Cheeseman seemed to add quite a bit when he came on.

Great fight back. This could be a bit of a turning point for our youngsters. It's games like this that forge a team.

Re: Team's Up.
poorfour 05 November, 2017 16:49
Never say die attitude from Luamanu, too.

Re: Team's Up.
Mayor West 05 November, 2017 16:49
That was very impressive well done to the players. Considering the players Sarries had and the last minute changes we had I find that performance exactly what we needed to show everybody that we can still win and never give up. I think we have a new no 1 hooker for sure and all the rest of the team played brilliantly to win that one. Hope we have enough players left for next week. I thought we were going to suffer more in the scrum as their pack was a lot bigger and more experienced but Wiggy must have sorted that at half time. Boyce is looking like a good addition in the loose, could be excellent if his scrummaging gets stronger although not much weight behind him today. I'm off to have a drink and a jolly good gloat.

He had no choice thanks to the ref. It looked for all the world that it was short but the ref said he saw the ball on the line, and he's better placed than a TV camera.

Re: Team's Up.
raedarius 05 November, 2017 16:55
Makes one wonder why he checked if he had seen the ball on the line.

To check whether there was any reason not to award a try, funnily enough.

I doubt a trophy-hunter like AB would watch an AW game, not unless it's the final.

Well played Quins. A great watch even as a Sarries supporter. Think ultimately the win could have gone either way and been justified but your team showed real character getting back into it and playing right till the end. Good kick under pressure to seal the win too.

Any chance of a rematch next week. We lost comfortably last week and by a point this week so maybe third times the charm for us?

Re: Team's Up.
Camquin 05 November, 2017 18:49
Josh coming on did seem to stabilise the scrum and give us go forward.
SO perhaps he will start next week - then move on from there.
One step at a time.

He was playing National 1 last year - in the all conquering Hartpury side - and National 2 the year before.

Re: Team's Up.
Quinten Poulsen 05 November, 2017 19:26
He was also a No.8 a little over 4 years ago.

Loved that second half !! Great team spirit and good to see new players stepping up to the crease. Hope Mulchrone and Swiel recover quickly. Really looking forward to Worcester at the Stoop now. Well done Quins !!

Re: Team's Up.
TitusQuin 06 November, 2017 13:25
Amazing spirit from the team. Defence first half and attack second half was excellent. We just need to combine both over 80!!!
Scrum under pressure until Ibuanoke and Lambert came on.

Of the non first teamers James Lang, Elia and Alofa must be pushing for a place when the premiership starts.

Re: Team's Up.
T-Bone 06 November, 2017 16:36

I think he was wondering which change was mainly responsible for the change in fortunes.

Re: Team's Up.

Skelton and Tolofua going off had a big impact also

Re: Team's Up.

I think it was the replacement front row and Luamanu coming on that made the difference

Re: Team's Up.
never sleep 07 November, 2017 11:24
I thought that the replacement of SH made the biggest difference. Mulchrone was injured fairly early on and I think he was a bit slow getting round the field. He had loads of strapping round his boot. You could see also that his passing from the ruck was not very good and players were often taking balls at head height, (probablys caused by struggling to get to the breakdown quick enough and rushing the pass).. This makes it difficult for the backs to make line breaks. The coaches did the right thing (i.e. give him a little while to try to run it off), but then did make they made the change to Lewis.

Highlights were on channel 5 on Sunday apparently so you may be able to get them on catch-up.

Not sure if they are any more detailed than those on the offy though.
