Even the commentators had trouble pronouncing the big mans surname.

Reckon we need a term of affection for him.

How about "Nobby"?

I've been practising because I think we'll hear his name a lot more!

I reckon its IB - OO - AN - OP - KAY.

Not that hard really and maybe an UUUUUUUGGGOOOOOO style chant in the making?

Definitely “The Beast”..!! We’ve got an awesome young player there. Changed the game on Sunday for me. Really impressed. Was just like a young Mtwerra (spelling?). Looked the real deal to me & more.

Was on our table at the pre-season dinner. Really good bloke and great to see him make such an impact on his debut. Looks like he could push Kyle very hard, which would be great.

He's studying for a degree in physics, just to subvert the prop stereotype.

That's a few I know other than things like Wardy, Sink, Cliff ,lofs, Tofty.......

There's also Robshaws and Baby Chis, McVisser, but we've rather stepped back from the glory days of Big Mo and the Goatman.

That's the problem with kids these days. Rubbish nicknames.

Also remember - The Sink and Big Kev

Josh was well down the pecking order last season. Remember we had Jones playing, rather than focusing on coaching as he is now. With him, The Sinck, and the Coalminer ahead of him, and being a year younger, we probably didn't want to expose him too much. I think we also had a couple of others who covered TH drafted in last year too(Murphy, Evans & Gendall were all Props I think?). Personally I'd like to see Ibuanokpe continue to play the AW games, and maybe later on in the season a few starts in less important AP games...

Maybe vs Chiefs at Sandy park. There is no pressure on winning that one as I think most will consider it a foregone conclusion (as was playing Wasps at the Ricoh and Sarries at Aliens Park)

I forgot Kev,and he told me how he got that moniker too . And Bomb, I've just read his book as well. Could JK be the fat controller or am I being politically incorrect.

Back to Josh. If he's as good as he looks, are we going to have a problem with having three excellent tight heads vying for the shirt or would that allow rotation to give all good game time. Barring injury of course although with our record of injuries we would need all three.

No chance. We will play a first team against top opposition away, to do otherwise would be laughable.

Unfortunately I think Big Josh's first team debut may be dictated by injury and not selection, the way Quins are going through players at the moment. But I don't doubt he'll give a good account of himself.
