But if we had a defence like Saracens we wouldn't be where we are.

And why can't we have a defence like theirs?
They tackle, they stop the man, they may or may not throw men in the breakdown, they get up and they do it all over again.
Am I just not seeing the subtlety of what they are doing, or is it pretty simple but well executed over and over?
Is it just because they trust the people both sides of them that their defence works and ours is tissue paper?

WHY?

But I'm saying that what they do doesn't seem like it requires Einstein to work out what to do or where to stand next. In which case, coaching it might well be less difficult than, say, coaching a particular attack move or line out play.

The team Sarries managed to put out today, with their missing England contingent, was utterly ridiculous.

2 sides of the coin.

Saracens have a very structured game, which means that everyone is in tune with the system and anyone who comes into the team for injured players or call ups knows what is what.

We do not have an ingrained system, last season was the first one of this iteration. Easter's first and it was not a huge success, this year is worse.

I'd like someone to take on the defence role, even if it's just a support for NE - but currently what we're doing doesn't work!

Perhaps the coaching staff for the ladies could come in and have a go.
