Threepeat. So no excuses about availability or not knowing our best team, we know what they are capable of, with little help from the officials. Let's put in a performance like that every week.

The joke of an official was against us throughout and we still won.

I still think Elia scored in the first half. Now a BP win over Sarries would have made my season!

Indeed, one off victories mean nothing.

They mean 4 points. Stop carping.

By the same token then one off defeats should mean nothing.

Tough crowd to please...

I'm not sure what we need to follow up other than the win. This season's performances have been noticeably better than last. We're always under the cosh with injuries, and although we had a strong team out today it's not been a consistent team in terms of selection.

Really? OK it helped getting our internationals back but so did they. I wouldn't have called our team strong. I suppose it's a relative thing this season.

Well, around 10 first team staters with not much between others is what I meant!

One off defeats do mean nothing. I fail to see your point.

OK, I just think you're being generous. smiling smiley

You're right there were more first picks than I thought. But I wouldn't say that was near a first 23.

One off defeats often don't come with a point.

A lot was made of that on the analysis, but we had a clear pen straight after for the deluberate knock-on.

Is that when one's fingers/hands are very buttery and lubricated?

No, it's simply a typo on a mobile phone. Doubtless an excuse to stink out this thread with an endless string of dreadful puns and kill any meaningful conversation though smiling smiley

Completely agree. Great to get the win, very satisfying afternoon. Especially so given the ref's refusal to brandish his yellow card. That level of effort and intensity should be the norm though
