19 players will convene in Oxford on Tuesday for a short camp until Thursday with the remaining eight players taking part in mini regional camps at Leicester Tigers, Pennyhill Park, Saracens and Wasps.

The focus of the camps will be on reconditioning rather than rugby training.

So basically Eddie reckons the Quins players need to be kept away from Quins.

Joe Launchbury will have a lonely time at the Wasps camp.

How sink has made it into the training camp based on recent performances I don’t know! I guess Eddie wants to give away more penalties?!?!

You get the point, it's not all the Quins players...

Anyway, all very strange.

Mind you with the Carling comments today about Quins..one senses something is afoot.

Carling comment on Quins - can you expand on this? (for those not on FB, Twitter or similar) Was it in newspaper?

It's on the FB thread.

Look like some serious questions to be asked at Quins. Or some serious and honest discussions behind closed doors.....#Quins #COYQ

In reply to Gordon D’Arcy who said “does that mean previous discussions haven’t been honest” he made a quizzical face.

Either way - interesting to see it being publicly talked about in a relatively high profile way

So basically Eddie reckons the Quins players need to be kept away from Quins.

The fact that Quins players are being sent to Pennyhill Park while others get to stay at Wasps, Saracens and Leicester is a strange detail, but the fact that he has split this into Oxford / non-Oxford without any particular explanation is more odd.

Those not going to Oxford are some but not all of the most experienced players:

Brown
Care
Wigglesworth
Cole
Launchbury
Marler
Robshaw
M Vunipola

He's got no scrum half with the Oxford camp, so you have to assume that the statement that they won't be doing actual rugby there is genuine.

So what will Kyle have got out of those two days do we think?

All seems a bit random the way players are called up and then released, seemingly with no chance of actually being picked.

I believe that he's only allowed to keep a certain number past Tuesday, given that there are club games this weekend, so it could just be that.

Two days where he's almost guaranteed not to have been cited for something.
