Most pathetic rubbish Iíve ever heard,

Itís not compulsory to attend, if driving conditions are dangerous then donít drive.

The idea that the club has to stop idiots driving badly in poor driving conditions itís extraordinay.

Some of the comments are pathetic on social media
Fans safety, itís the club trying to divert attention from on pitch performance, havenít seen its JK fault itís snowed yet, but wouldnít be surprised

There are set criteria Iím sure to cancel a game, if you donít want to travel donít, itís simple, and the games on telly.
And if the club do manage to put the game on then weíll done, it wasnít that long ago a certain club with an artificial pitch had to reschedule a game to a Monday nigh5 and disappoint a good few supporters

Agree that some people take it too far, but seeing as loads of people aren't going to be able to make it, if there is a free weekend then it would make more sense to do it then.

It's annoying that I'm effectively wasting season ticket money by not being able to go tonight, and I'm sure there are lots of people in the same position.

But I doubt Quins are even allowed to call it off unless there's an obvious reason to do so, so not sure what people are complaining about.

My money on a postponement.

Would be rubbish if they did considering they said it was highly unlikely and thereís no snow anywhere within 5 miles of the Stoop.

And of course all our family live within 5 miles of the Stoop... /S

If the game goes ahead, my guess is that there will be a similar size cropped to the snowy game back in December.

Its not a case of not wanting to travel, more totally unable to travel. Personally I cant get my car off my driveway, the car is covered in a 40mm layer of solid ice, as is the driveway which is on an incline. Roads are a nightmare. Trains are cancelled also. We've had an unprecedented weather event within the clubs catchment area, where an awful lot of members live. Plus those coming up from Bath which has had even worse conditions. It would be very insensitive if this game went ahead. Oh & Blucherquin I'm so glad to hear everything is rosy in your world!

No of course not everyone lives near. But the comments are quite amazing.

Anyone in London should have no problem - nor anyone driving from around ďM25Ē towns near SW London.

Totally understand itís a pain as Iíve said several times. But a decent number of social media posters are accusing the club of putting peopleís lives in danger.

On your last sentence - thatís not my point at all - as pointed out multiple times in the conversation.

I really genuinely do not understand how itís ďinsensitiveĒ, itís not a terrorist bombing. And by no measure is cold weather and snow at the end of February ďan unprecedented weather eventĒ just because itís compulsory to give snow a stupid name now.

I understand itís massively annoying not to be able to make it. Iíd be annoyed too. But itís not the clubís problem.

Like itís not an airlineís problem if you get stuck in a traffic jam or a hotelís problem if your kid gets sick and you have to cancel on a ďno refundĒ booking. (Both of which my bank account still bears the scars)

Itís blaming the club for managing to make sure the game goes ahead I find very strange.

Agree with Blucherquin here, can't blame the club for putting the fixture on. They would almost certainly be fined if they didn't have a good reason for postponing.

People need to take responsibility for their own safety, which is why I'm not going - there's every chance I'd get stranded either on the way there or the way back - and there's no way I could take my old dad , risk of falls too high. So I'll be watching on TV.

If you're going, then you wrap up warm, wear appropriate footwear, make sure you've got money and a phone and possibly a cheeky hip flask - what's the problem?

I remember one match in 2010 where it was way colder than this and about 9-10,000 people turned up and had a great time and there were no injuries that I was aware of.

COYQ!

Clear roads, no snow at the moment, it rained 10 mins ago. Thereís a 60-80% chance of ďlight snowĒ through the evening but thatís been the same for days and itís amounted to nothing.

Personally, I'm trapped at home due to a car crash at one end of the estate; and a tree down at t'other!; een then I think the road between here and the M5 is closed too.

Well, there's the announcement from SWT. There's discussions to be had with the TV people. There's discussions to be had with Bath re playing the game and discussions to be had with Bath re postponing the game and when it could be rearranged. There may even have been a wait to see results on social media of the SWT announcement. And, as you say, that's before you find anyone who could actually categorically decide the game's off.

Calm down blucherquin. You've been banging on about not having any snow and it's not going to snow and it won't snow, much as I did last week (but not on here). Now everywhere, apart from Twickenham you say, has a good carpet of the stuff. I'm 2.5 miles from The Stoop and it is snowing lightly onto the White covered outside surfaces.

Yes it snowed but whatís in my garden isnít enough to stop a rugby match, with a pitch thatís been covered all week. Games have always been played in snow. But thatís not (to repeat myself endlessly) what Iím annoyed about.

Whatís annoyed me is how they stuffed it up. See the other thread - people drove down from Staffordshire coz club said game was on until 230pm.

So first of all everyone who couldnít make it was angry, including the unhinged people who said they were being forced to die in snow and ice by the club, now everyone who did travel because of the clubs reassurances are angry.

Oddly as I think someone predicted at the start of the week, donít they have to clear everything off the pitch a few hours before for the inspection and thatís exactly when the brief bit of snow arrived?
