Now, who were the posters who said the club should get rid of him?

Have a read, and perhaps feel a little ashamed.

Horrific and scary injury , Ive never heard of anything like that before this , hardly surprising he had confidence issues , who the hell would want that again !..

He played with a scrum cap last week , not sure if that gives him any extra throat protection ? , or if he usually plays with one .

He got stuck in straight away and didn't duck out of contact so 10 /10 for endeavour .

Shame on those who included him in the group of JK "sick note" signings.

Yeah I mentioned that about the scrum cap to my wife when he came on.

Does seem slightly odd when the injury was around the throat rather than his head, but if that makes him more comfortable then who cares.

Was great to see him get stuck in straight away and I hope we see a few more minutes from him in the next few games.

What an awful ordeal for him to have been through.

He doesn't speak of any mental issues with coming back to play, but, frankly, if he did have them, I wouldn't be surprised or in any way critical.

Stories like this transcend any criticisms or frustrations. I'm just glad the fella is ok.

It was great to see him come on. And boy does he have a big boot on him. Wishing him all the best.

A real freak injury. Good on him for making it back - not sure many would after something like that which could have cost him his playing career, not to mention his life.

Strangely quiet from the “sack him, sick note, mental issues” brigade

Not sure 2 people can be described as a "brigade".

Three's a crowd.

Which I expect is all that'll be left at the final whistle on Friday....

You haven't looked at the size of the British army recently....
