Talking to a mate after yesterday's game, who is a Saints ST holder, he said Tiny got a load of stick from Saints fans when they played Leicester, he was consistently jeered and called Judas. Seems a little unpleasant to me.

Anybody hear anything? Very disappointing if true.

Nothing heard from South stand except the usual cheer as Geoff called his name.

Did he buy you a drink out of his 30 pieces of silver, Chris?

..but seriously for a minute, I would love to see the someone who is brave (sic) enough to shout 'Judas' from the stands say something similar to the face of Tiny (or Besty for that matter). Anyone slower off the mark than Usain Bolt would be advised to keep schtum.

I know someone well known to this board who told Grewcock to shut up, whilst he was in the in goal area and talking loudly as we were lining up a penalty.

Not once but several times, ending in "yes you" when he looked up into the South Stand enquiringly.

I thought Grewcock was going to do a 'Trevor Brennan' especially as we were all assisting his identification by pointing out said heckler. (Sm13)

I think I'll plump for the medal.(Sm128)

No jeering for Tiny from Gordon - C though I don't think he got quite the usual cheer when Uncle Geoff read out the team just before kick-off. We did notice the oik who shouted when Smyler took his first penalty - seemed to come from corporate box in Sturtridge........

The bloke will do a lap of honour to a standing ovation at his last home match at FG and get the same on his return as a fez head. That's the poorest fishing I've ever seen.

My sister and I heard definite boos for Tiny, Kruger and Best - those for Tiny were slightly louder than for the others, but they were definitely there (we stand in block D of the terrace).

Disappointing, but perhaps a little inevitable given how much coverage the story of his departure has got.

We didn't hear anything from our end.

After the game my girls stood next to the tunnel and shouted for him after their lap of honour, but I assume he was too involved in his conversation to hear them. They did manage a high 5 with Bruce though!!!

We did hang around after the game but didn't see him.

Aha - mystery solved. FC's girls call out to Tiny who doesn't hear. Not disheartened they launch into a heartfelt chant of "Bruuuccce" which by the time it has been passed along the line from Saints fan mate to Tiger fan to Sarries fan (the latter would have been completely at a loss to know what to do with it), it could easily have been mistaken as a Boooo.

By the way Fergie Cat, do your girls do a lap of honour after every game? I'll have to watch out in future.(Sm12)

Nothing like that around me. We were too busy teasing tigers! "Fancy a beer anyone? Oh, I'll have a Heineken please. What was that? A heineken. A Heineken? Yes, it brings a good taste to your mouth around here."

Tiny definitely didn't get the usual cheer as the team was announced in C block - it was just good natured stuff though.

And there was some bloke in C block who referred to him as 'Judas' two or three times but again, it wasn't anything other than a bit of banter, even if it's not quite my sort of banter.

Our support does have a certain element of fickleness to it!

The Sarries fan's quote which appears at the start of this thread reminds me somewhat of the one that came from Munsterland which went along the lines of 'my mate in Northampton reckons everyone there hates Dylan Hartley'.
It only takes one person to make a crass, possibly beer-fuelled comment, and suddenly the headline writers are dripping poison all over the back page. Or the would-be headline writers are are posting nonsense on a website.

There was a bit of banter in the Church's stand - most of it from the coaches' bench.

But I didn't hear Westy say anything controversial - for once...
