Thanks Bob - Although I do take issue with your description of Mr Davey's strengths
A lesson on spotting illegal and non-binding going on under his conk would not go amiss.

Who said that? Flatman?

Good stuff Bob

Nice writing skills St Bleach. Entertaining style and pretty much how I saw the game. Boys against men for the most part but I did think that Daisy worked hard throughout and that Sharman was pushing hard until he got injured. We'll see what happens next week.

By the way, did poor Ben Cartwright get exonerated?

Did Stuart Barnes also say “If London Irish can't beat this Scarlets side, they may as well give up playing rugby”???

You have to hand it to Nigel Davies, no money, had to let his star overseas players go. Rather than buying a squad, he has had to develop one for buttons over the last 2 seasons. Would Ben Morgan have made it into the England squad if the Scarlets had not given him the opportunity? Now Gloucester are rumoured to have offered a transfer fee to prise him away from Llanelli when he was there under their noses at Cinderford. Presumably they want a replacement for Narraway.

Moral, you may as well lose (or win if you are the Scarlets) in this competition developing your own players. Bringing them in from all over the world in numbers is not a guaranteed success.

Excellent report Bleach

Only one person in the world could insert a dissertation about an unconnected Welsh team into a report of a match between two English sides (one of which he feigns to "support")
